  1. You can always report your CC lost or stolen and bingo, fixed
  2. Say what? Funchess caught 3 passes for 32 yards in his entire non-Panthers career.
  3. Can't imagine his dad gave him the contact info. Kid has to have had his dad's phone for something and started going through messages or something. Or maybe his dad sent his son something stupid Shedeur had sent in a text chain not realizing that his son was weapons grade stupid and would do something like this.
  4. It was just a dick move. Evidently Tyler Warren got prank called too when the Jets were on the clock.
  5. Kiper's meltdown over Shedeur and the rest of the ESPN table basically just having to tell him to STFU was an all-time draft clown show moment. LOL
  6. Smitty's response is exactly the problem a lot of people have with Smitty. A college position coach is just sticking up for his kid and Smitty immediately takes it personally and just outright attacks him. At least he's doing it on YouTube now instead of breaking noses but it just shows that Smitty hasn't grown in that regard.
  7. I sure hope so. Post-2017 has been a rough ride. People tend to forget that we had an 11 win season two years after the SB loss, but after that it's been a suffer fest for sure.
  8. THIS I've been wrong before and I'll be wrong again in the future so when I'm wrong, let it work out on a way that's positive for the Panthers. It ain't gonna hurt my feelings.
  9. If he really did that I would avoid him like the plague if I was a recruit. So if things don't work out for me at Washington for whatever reason and I have to transfer and then blossom into an NFL prospect, you're gonna badmouth me to your NFL contacts? Nah, that ain't gonna work for me. Obviously it didn't hurt T-Mac but if you're a mid-late round non-elite prospect that could be really damaging to your NFL prospects.
  10. That and the attempts to put pieces around Cam failing. We spent a 1st on KB and he flamed out after a promising start then a 2nd on Funchess and he just failed to launch. All the Cam detractors claiming he was the problem with receivers not working out, I just ask them to name all the receivers whose careers blossomed after they were able to escape having to play with Cam. Don't worry, I'll wait. LOL
  11. Yeah, the good thing about committing to building around a young QB is that even if it doesn't work out you've built a strong foundation for the next guy to try to build on. That's a helluva lot better than getting a Cam Newton then saying "well, that takes care of offense now we can spend all our resources on defense!"
  12. I mean, given that massive trade he'd pretty much have to be Mahomes 2.0 to ever live up to that status. It's a sunk cost. It's just whether or not he's a guy you think you can win a SB with or not. If not, you gotta look for a guy who is. Pretty much that simple.
  13. This should be the make or break year. I don't think the Panthers are really thinking that way because I'm sure they fully expect him to continue his trajectory after coming back from the benching but if he does regress and go back to the type of play that led to the benching then yeah, I do think it would be time to move on at that point. Let's just hope that doesn't happen. I'm sure that's the Panthers' current mentality too.
  14. I think they're committed to him but I think the coddling stopped with the benching. Commitment isn't necessarily the same as coddling. The benching and how Bryce responded to it is by far the most promising development in his career so far. He couldn't have possibly handled it better and I think the Panthers got everything they could've hoped for out of it.
  15. There comes a point in the draft where honestly you're better off going undrafted at that point and having an opportunity to better chart your own course.
  16. The bottom line is that $215k is nothing when it comes to cap impact either way.
  17. I honestly didn't watch enough of their games to comment. I just know that in '23 in the games that I watched I liked Fifita. Not as an NFL prospect but I thought he looked like a good college QB. Yeah, basically a poor man's Bryce. Then the games I watched this year it was just like "who is this guy? This can't be the same guy I liked last year." @tukafan21 what's the deal? Did Fifita go significantly backwards or did I just happen to catch good '23 games and bad '24 games?
  18. The Titans jumping on Restrepo after drafting Cam Ward #1 overall was smart. I'm honestly surprised they didn't use a late rounder on him. I get that his measurables were trash but when you put up those types of numbers at a high level P5 school you can play and when you have a chance to add your new QB's favorite college target basically for free that just seems like a really good idea even if it accomplished nothing more than just helping that QB transition to the NFL.
  19. I only watched two Arizona games both last season and this season so I'm working off of an admittedly small sample size but Fifita really seemed to go backwards this season. You could see the limitations in his game last year but he seemed to be doing a pretty decent job of getting the most out of his abilities. He just didn't look good at all this year in the games that I watched.
  20. I definitely don't mind the edge rusher double dip. I still see free safety as a massive hole but it's been massive hole for the Panthers forever outside of the brief Deon Grant period. We've just never valued safeties who are primarily deep third over the top guys. I wish we did but we don't so I'll just hope that it works out. We've certainly fielded elite defenses without one so we know it can be done.
  21. The only issue I have with Icege is when he's doing this stuff. He's the only poster who keeps bringing up the fact that a handful of posters left because they didn't like how the forum was moderated and he blames me because I created a thread for them to have only positive conversation that I would moderate to enforce that but that made me an asshole mocking them when that wasn't at all what it was. Just let bygones be bygones. Some people left. They found a place where they're happier. That's good and I'm happy for them. But don't keep bringing back the toxicity of that era of the Huddle and blaming me for it. I did what I could and they thought I was mocking them. I can't help that.
  22. The TB used to be a problem but we've largely cleaned it up. It's pretty much the same 8-10 posters (myself included) yelling at each other over the same stuff for years with no one giving an inch. It's insanity but it's a good outlet. LOL
  23. Dude... you keep complaining about an argumentative mess while you are the only one trolling for an argument. YOU ARE BEING THE TOXICITY.
  24. The biggest thing that's hurt the Huddle is the same thing that's hurt Panthers fandom in general. We have sucked for years now. That's rough on a fanbase. The heyday of Internet forums is largely over. That's just the reality. Social media largely replaced forums and then Reddit came along and built a large all encompassing forum that sucked up a lot of the traditional forum users. It is what it is. But there's a pretty solid group of dedicated users here and if the Panthers start winning again it'll grow. A lot of folks who have drifted off will probably come back. But here's the thing, anyone who has stuck around whether you agree with them or not, whether you like them or not they are absolute diehards. You can't truly enjoy the good times if you're not willing to suffer through the bad times.
  25. I find it ironic that you accuse me of "shitting" up the forum while you're the one actively shitting up this thread with a bizarre personal vendetta. LOL There's an ignore feature. Use it. You don't like how this place is ran. Evidently that's all my fault. But you keep coming back to cry about it.
