  1. Again, I think there's a difference there between contenders and bottom feeders. Contenders realize their team is basically just trying to stay healthy and evaluate the bottom of their roster. For bottom feeders those fans are desperately looking for some glimmer of hope to hang onto that this might be the year that we're gonna see actual improvement. We didn't get that.
  2. They were advertising PSLs for $19 recently. LOL
  3. What we did with Bryce there was smart, which is such a rare thing to say about the Panthers in recent years. The guy was drowning out there and continuing to play just want helping him. He needed an opportunity to step back and just take a breath and work on some things without the pressure of having to play. It worked. Now we need him to take the next step. Maybe the Colts are thinking they can do the same thing with AR. I definitely expect them to go back to him at some point this season because Daniel Jones ain't gonna be it and you gotta give that former top 5 pick another look before giving up.
  4. For contenders I agree. For teams trying to change their culture and dig themselves out of the gutter of the league I think preseason is more important. Not the final score, but you want your starters and key reserves to go out there and look confident and build some confidence. We need to do that in the preseason and stop doing it by winning meaningless games at the end of throwaway seasons that do nothing but tank our draft stock. That approach has clearly not been working for us.
  5. I honestly think it's a dumb approach. I mean, I get it from a front office/coaching standpoint but from a fan's perspective just wanting an organization to get back to winning ways bringing in a veteran fringe starter type is just purgatory. Yeah, it might buy the GM and/or coach another year which is their focus but it just keeps the overall organization stuck in the mud. This isn't a Jake Delhomme situation where this guy just hasn't had an opportunity yet. There's plenty of film on Daniel Jones as a starter and very little of it is good. If I was a Colts fan I'd have the same wish for them as I do the Panthers. We need to ride or die with this young QB. Either let him develop and show us he's the one or let him suck us to a high pick.
  6. Colts have named Daniel Jones the starter over Anthony Richardson.
  7. Had Shedeur been a top draft pick in absolutely think Deion would've tried to steer where he ended up. I'm not sold on Arch being this slam dunk #1 overall guy. Just not near enough sample size on him to say that. People are saying that based on his last name, just like Shedeur.
  8. I'll be able to look back and enjoy '03 and '15 a lot more if we ever finally win a SB.
  9. Im not committed to misery. I'll be happy to be proven wrong but yeah, Moehrig has historically struggled in coverage and Wharton is a barely over 6' 280# DT.
  10. Dude got PAID then had ankle surgery and evidently showed up to camp woefully unprepared. No thanks.
  11. Giving an in the box safety that struggled pretty mightily in coverage was pretty dumb. Paying a very undersized pass rushing specialist DT $45M over 3 years to play in a 3-4 defense sure seems pretty dumb on the surface. We'll see how some of this stuff plays out but I'm not at all sold on this idea that we've definitely turned a corner and become a smart operating organization.
  12. We have no idea what this organization might do but definitively stating that we aren't gonna do something dumb is climbing way out on a really small limb. LOL
  13. I'm not saying it doesn't matter, but on the huge moves I absolutely think Tepper is directly involved. I don't think you're trading future 1st rounders without him being involved.
  14. Seems like their stance is that Archie, Peyton, and Eli all played 4 years of college ball and if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. I mean, I can't really argue with the Mannings on how to best prepare for the NFL as a QB. But yeah, I definitely think that if they stood form and forced a block of Eli to the Chargers they'd probably due the same for Tepper's Panthers.
  15. Archie has already said Arch won't be declaring for the draft next year. And if they blocked Eli to the Chargers ain't no way they're letting Arch end up in this poo show. LOL
  16. Y'all still chomping at the bit? LOL https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/news/trey-hendrickson-trade-packages-commanders-lions-bengals-edge-rusher/04c5da5188af6ce49110eee1?utm_term=trey hendrickson,cincinnati bengals,detroit lions,nfl,washington commanders&utm_medium=browser_notifications&utm_source=pushly&utm_content=US&utm_campaign=Trey Hendrickson trade packages
  17. That the next year's first became #1 overall just absolutely tanks the value of the trade in retrospect. We basically traded a fortune just to get to #1 a year earlier.
  18. Yeah, we've certainly shown to be shrewd negotiators when Tepper falls in love with something. Oh wait...
  19. Peak Panthering LOL We seems very willing to trade away future 1sts. I think we just cockily assume they're going to be low 1sts meanwhile we end up giving away #1 overall. LOL
