  1. The Texans would have to tell Carolina who they’re taking if they swap. No way Carolina would ever do it blind.
  2. That’s always a risk when making trades, I’m pretty sure lying in this situation would get you a scarlet letter and no one would trade with you ever again because you couldn’t be trusted.
  3. Stroud is definitely a better pure passer than Young, only advantage Young has over Stroud is scrambling and running around in the backfield. He’s still really good but Stroud is an incredible passer
  4. Gotta be Stroud. Outside chance it’s Young, but no way they trade all the way to 1 for Richardson and DEFINITELY not for Levis.
  5. Two firsts, two seconds and DJ. So that means DJ was valued at a first round pick. Hate losing him, but solid value.
  6. Stroud. Next year and the following years firsts will probably be even later anyway.
  7. I mean, it cost them what it cost them. They’d still have their picks plus the comp picks if they didn’t trade for him. It was a good deal for all involved
  8. I don’t like him because I watched all the throws available to see. It doesn’t matter who is around him if you look beyond stats. He looks uncomfortable in his offense, he misses throws, I’ve said it before: tools are great but if you don’t know how to use them it doesn’t matter what tools you have. He’s really inaccurate, his throws aren’t in stride, on time, and setting his receivers up for success. Stroud and Young are light years ahead of him. Richardson is on the same level, might just a hair behind him, in this regard but the reason many are more comfortable with Richardson is because the upside outweighs the negatives. He’s such an athletic freak that he can rely on that while he learns the other part of QBing. Levis is athletic but not like Richardson, and what I see in Levis is someone that will be not get it in time to continue having the opportunity to play. And I loved Allen, he was my QB1 in that draft. People just have to learn to look beyond stats and actually watch them play. Then you can see past “who they play with” or “what team they play for” and recognize their individual pros and cons.
  9. Around 50 minutes they talk about when Harper hit Smitty late in the end zone. That’s a really interesting discussion
  10. Around 46 minutes they start talking about Mike Shula lol. They haven’t said anything too inflammatory yet, I haven’t finished that part, but you can definitely tell that the fans aren’t the only ones that thought Shula was terrible. Smitty says he really likes Shula as a person but on game day when he’d be calling bad plays that all went out the window lol
  11. We might as well see what ol Teddy Trashwater is up to if we’re thinking about Jimmy G
  12. Absolutely. Him, Kincaid or Mayer would be great
  13. I dunno. He’s had one good year his whole career, been a jag the rest. If the coaching staff wants to keep him and restructures him so his number is more manageable I’ll take their word for it.
  14. The point is even if you trade a bunch of picks and miss you can still recover from it and succeed. Not that they traded up and took the right player.
  15. Kunkel is a nobody. Wouldn’t trust him any more than Person or Newton. Probably even less.
  16. It’s going to cost more than that. And it’ll be worth it for Stroud
  17. Not interested in any of them. In terms of value per benefit, I’d just keep Darnold on the cheap to back up our new rookie QB, maybe start a few games to begin the season if necessary
  18. If we can’t move up for Stroud or Young and Richardson is there at 9, yea I’m happy with that. Not really keen on trading up for him though. If we absolutely must, no giving up extra firsts or this year’s seconds hopefully.
  19. I dunno if it’s so much collusion as it is smart. It would be foolish to give a 250mil fully guaranteed contract to an injury prone QB, especially with having to give up two firsts to make that mistake. If he was a FA I’d absolutely be down for negotiating and trying to sign him. No to big money + two firsts though. And that’s probably what most teams are thinking.
