The Dowdle Mirage - Play Calling Problems
Jon Snow replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
They did for most of the 3rd quarter for sure. -
They may keep him another year but I cannot see any way they extend him. His erratic play guarantees he will not be extended. They will bring in competition next year. They don't have a choice.

Eric Collins Calling First NFL Game (ours)
Jon Snow replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers
I just call it like it is. It was typical Panthers football with some rookies starting to stand out until the second half. Something happened in the locker room the flipped a switch or lit a fire on more than a few folks on the team. Don't get me wrong it's still a bad team. But at least for half a game they decided to fight back. -

They couldn't avoid it today. Its was bad. It got to the point that they didn't pass the ball for awhile. Thats when the run game took off. That allowed Young to get into some semblance of a rhythm. But when Rico started to get banged up and out of gas the defense was able to back off and effect the passing game. -

They didn't go too easy on him today. I mean they tried a few times to make a throw bigger than what it was but for the most part it was mostly fair assessments. There wasn't much early on that they could gloss over. The 1st half was just ugly football from Young all around. Completely different team came out after halftime. -

21 is always out of position. You can count on him giving up every single big play.
-
The rookies playing more is making the difference.
-
Oh he's the problem alright. He almost singlehandedly cost the team the game. Rico and the defense gave him the opportunity to redeem himself for the 1st quarter meltdown. But just because he managed to pull himself together and help everyone else pull off a comeback doesn't make him a good qb.

There's nothing to fall in love with. I mean it's cute how hard he tries to play football and all but that's not going to cut it. Everyone with 2 eyes can see that.
-
I'm not sure it's so much the bar but the reality of the situation. It doesn't change the need for another qb.
-
I'll apologize when they play like this all season.
-
D&D missed the opportunity for all of that to be a good option available to them. Anyone brought in at this point would take some time to learn the offense before they were really an option going forward. Its Young or Andy this year brother. You might as well buckle up and hang on. Its going to be a bumpy ride.
-
You're doomed.
-
Everyone knows the Panthers need a long-term answer at qb. But you don't bench him for this game and certainly not for Andy after bouncing back from that 1st quarter. The team can continue to look for a qb for the future.

Was Horn shadowing Waller after the 1st Q?
Jon Snow replied to Donald LaFell's topic in Carolina Panthers
Waller sat in the 2nd and up until later in 3rd quarter if im not mistaken. -
Official Week 5: Dolphins @ Panthers Gameday Thread
Jon Snow replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rico was killing it today. A few rookies showed up and made plays. Brady is a damn good run blocker at RG. IMO Rico and the rookies on both sides of the ball stepping up made that comeback possible. Even XL decided he wanted to play football again. And lets not forget that Evero finally found his balls. -
UNC is complete ass.

New York Times: Is Panthers QB Bryce Young a Lost Cause
Jon Snow replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
I've been told I have that effect on most normal humans. I seem to attract more of the stranger things in life than most normal people though. I am probably most of all the most chill amongst this house of horrors if that means anything. -
When you're that far down in the league you're basically debating which turd has the most flies on it.
-
Both.
-
Sounds exactly like the Panthers.

Why would you do that to Luke? I wouldn't wish that job on a great guy like Luke. Coaching for Tepper is the worst job in the nfl.
-
He can't even save himself. Cleveland is starting Gabriel this weekend and guess where Shedeur is on the depth chart? That's right, still qb3.
