Dave Canales announces next week's starting QB
Jon Snow replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Admitting it does not change anything. The damage is already done. It's going to take years if ever for things to change with this team. -
Dave Canales announces next week's starting QB

Would? They already look like fools. Continuing to play him makes them look like fools. Trading up and giving up DJ made them look like fools. Passing on the 2 1sts made them look like fools. Brother, there's no doubt we are dealing with fools here. -
Dalton has about 4 games in him at this point in his career. He might help us win 2 of those before he's out for the season with an injury. I think a top 3 pick is still safe for our future.

A tell will be how many reps Andy gets this week.

Oh you don't have to think. It's a train wreck in Charlotte right now. Canales is backed into a corner now with Bryce putting up another stinker. So much for the saying winning the turnover battle wins you the game, huh? I would loved to have been in Teppers suite today.

Is Young the worst #1 pick in NFL history?
Jon Snow replied to BIGH2001's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope Tepper has to live with this for a long time. What a... -
Tepper needs someone between him and Dan Morgan making franchise decisions. Tepper should stop the Monday morning meetings with the coach. Tepper should only have conversations with the guy he hired to make franchise decisions like hiring the GM and Head Coach. But nowhere in any of that should Tepper have a say other than is the guy he hired to run the franchise doing his job.

Wilks hires Reich for his OC and Fitterer still drafts Young. The season ends the same way and we are still right back here where we are now. You can't cheat destiny my friend.

I don't disagree with any of of that. Young was going to get this season to show what he can do with a better supporting cast on offense. It was the right thing to do. But I'm sure it hinged on him having a much better showing than he did in the first game. He cannot afford another one of those type games. I also think Canales got the spotlight turned up on himself as well, and not in a good way.

Wait until you are an old guy. You will see where us old farts are coming from.

They will not survive if they keep looking the way the did on Sunday. I'm sure Tepper doesn't care who's the qb is by now as long as they are winning. Young is a sunk cost and some point they will have to stop the bleeding on offense if he craps the bed many more games. Now the defense is another matter that's being overlooked because Young is all the rage. This team is soft and that's on the coaches.

Oh he can do something alright. He's removed himself as long as things improve or operates to his liking. There's no way he will sit through 17 more game of humiliation and not do something. You should know by now he can only take so much. If Canales is smart he will not let the situation get too far out of hand before he does something to win some games.

Derrick Brown potential season ending knee injury
Jon Snow replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
The odds are good. -
They will lose this game and the only thing in the Panthers fan world will care about is how Bryce played. His career is hanging by a thread.

I'm thinking Bryce cannot afford to have another game like the last one. He's already on a downward spiral out of the league and the season just started. The only thing that is buying him time now is that the alternative is a washed up Andy Dalton. Another stinker and it will get hot in Teppers suite next Sunday.
