Well what I heard during the combine was very different. It was said that the top 4 was in the 90's with Youngs being the highest. That's why I didn't understand the butthurt from everyone. All 4 had similar measurables with Young being the exception in the height and weight category. That's why Young and Stroud went 1 and 2. Richardson didn't have the playing experience so I can see why he went as qb 3. Levis was just weird in too many ways to take that high. That's how I remember the combine broadcast talk. I was stuck at home so I watched it all and had to listen to all the talk from the knowitalls.

That will have to do until they find better options next season.

No I think Stroud was in the mid 90's. Even Richardson hit 90 plus. It got blown out of proportion like most stories do.

I think the team knows this already. That's why everything will not be perfect and positions will have to wait another offseason to be addressed. The roster you see now will not be the same roster that takes the field week one.

I'm guessing he got that from Fitterer or Frank. Fitterer had scouted the qb's for a couple of years prior. If you go back and follow the bread crumbs the past 2 years Fitterer was going to trade up all along. He sold it to Tepper and had to convince Frank to go along. From there you know the rest.

He and Young had similar scores from what I remember.

I don't remember all that praise on Young in camp. In fact I remember a lot of "it would have been a sack if they were allowed to" remarks. That i do remember. But Cam struggled in preseason for sure. But as you said the offense was vanilla until game 1.

I've heard all of that before. I still have a hard time with that theory. I just can't see Tepper forcing a qb on Frank that he didn't want or believe in. It doesn't excuse Franks ineptitude in all this in any capacity. Both qbs were there and was the first 2 taken.

Then why didn't they take that qb?

Who's yall? If a couple posters somehow turns into everyone demanding then I cannot imagine how this is applied in other areas of life.

I still cannot believe what I witnessed last season. Nothing about that staff turned out to be Allstars. For a group that claimed to be all in on a qb they did absolutely nothing to help him be a better qb or win games. That offense was horrendous.

Want? I'm just a spectator. I'm just surprised Tepper went with someone so green that's all. I've never heard of this guy. All I know is that it's a tall order for someone so green to build an offense much less a team.

He sounds like he does. Frank knew football very very well also. Coaching? Not so much. He's been mostly a wr coach. He's worked with a few qb's and 1 year calling plays. With the task ahead of him he better walk on water.

I want to know who designed the playbook. How good are these coaches, really? How smart is the guy any?
