  1. He was a runner and its not illegal. Its different in the nfl.
  2. I mean what are the odds that the team would have won that game the way they did? He lucked into free tickets, front row seats at that, and the team decided to play a nearly complete game in almost a decade. He just became a fan this year so im happy for him to experience what it could be like. His very first game he paid to attend we lost. So he's got that under his belt already. I told him he has a lot more heartache to go.
  3. Nothing for now. He better step up though because Coker is coming for his job.
  4. My son told me that the place was shaking from everyone banging on their seats. He said when Brown got that strip sack it was the loudest noise he's ever heard. He said the place went wild. He said he will remember this game the rest of his life.
  5. I want to hear the Spanish broadcast from yesterday's game. I bet is was a blast to listen to.
  6. I'm in the 120's I think around 124 maybe. I'll ask my son when he gets here as he has them on his phone. I may be on the other 40 hell I don't know. I'm just ready to see a entertaining game for a change.
  7. Neither did I. I cannot keep up with these changes.
  8. That sounds about where I will be for the last home game.
  9. I think he played pretty good yesterday. At least his stats looked good but I didn't watch to game.
  10. This doesn't trigger the conditional aspects of the trade does it? I cannot remember the full details of the trade.
  11. Thats our current draft slot as well... I think.
  12. When they ran the ball they had better success when the Tams thought they would pass. Obviously there wasn't 8 in the box in the situation so Canales took advantage of it. He played the 2nd half as about as perfect as he could. The 1st half was brutal for him especially the last 3 minutes of the half. He wasted an opportunity to score. But running when they expected a pass and passing when they expected a run is what made the difference in the 2nd half.
  13. I agree. We have more opportunities for draft picks to contribute earlier. But that's a good problem to have because you can build the team on cheaper salaries for a while if you do it right. If you do you have time to get your cap in order for the future. Dan is struggling with this cap thing but maybe Tillis can work his magic for Dan.
  14. It sure is. But its a talent depleted team so they have to go all out to fix it.
  15. A few more of those and defenses won't be able to stack the box on 4th and short. It adds another wrinkle to the offense.
  16. It rarely happens. It never happens for the Panthers. We need to get at least 4 contributors from every draft to turn this team around.
  17. The refs were definitely not going to call anything against the Rams yesterday. They tried hard to help them but certainly weren't going to hurt them.
  18. I think our success will depend on how deep this draft is for contributors. The last draft was loaded so Dan had more to choose from. I have not looked into this draft other than the qb's. Its going to largely depend on the choices available where we pick.
  19. My son said the crowd was going insane yesterday.
  20. I agree with that. This team is qb poor and they need a better plan at the position than what is going on now.
  21. It's made it harder to get a guy to start year 1 that's for sure. You really need to draft a guy a year or 2 before you need him. But unlike college you can only keep so many on the roster to work with. If he cannot unseat your current backup it creates a situation where you hope he clears wavers so you can put him on the ps long enough to replace your backup. We can afford ro dump our backup but we need real competition to replace him. I'm not sure we would carry 3 qb's on the roster full time with the 3rd qb with being draft pick intent on replacing qb2. But they should after going through the past 3 seasons.
  22. What troubles me with all of these college qbs coming out is that none of them play from under center. Every single one of them play from the shotgun. College offenses basically run the exact same plays and are basic as hell with a few trick plays thrown in. Any qb you take will have to be able to work from under center and understand an nfl offense. Oh, and be able to brake down nfl defenses in the fly. Your assignment for the draft is to figure out if any of these guys coming out have any of those qualities.
