  1. Open your minds for at least the next 30 days or so. Take Stroud and put him under center at Kentucky. Think about the OL there, the receivers, etc. Take Young and put him under center at Kentucky. Think about the OL there, the receivers, etc. Take Levis and put him under center at Bama or OSU. Think about the OL there, the receivers, etc. Is it possible that these professional coaches and talent evaluators see something in Levis that we do not? Is it POSSIBLE....? If I am wrong, and they draft Levis and he goes full Ryan Leaf on us, blame Jon Snow.
  2. Same thought. I then thought of the Colts' problems with QB, OL, etc. The more I think of today--if they come away with Campbell, Hurst, and Theilen, we'd be OK--not perfect, but on a budget, I would say we have done well.
  3. I know. Remember 2 years ago when everyone thought the Niners were moving up to #3 for Jones? If he has heard something, it is lying season. if they moved up for him, they know something we don't. I just think they would have traded with Cardinals if Levis was the guy. The only argument I would have to defend Levis: When have we ever seen him in a clean pocket with a stable full of stud pass retrievers at his disposal? We have only seen him in bad situations. Then I think, there were people in NY who were begging for Sam Darnold....Who knows.
  4. Way to stir up a panic, Jon Snow (if that is your real name)! I am going back on my meds because of that post.
  5. https://www.draftsharks.com/fantasy/injury-history/parris-campbell/10209 His injury history--nothing that major--sprains and some ankle issues--one concussion---so you could argue that he had a run of bad luck.
  6. Dang--Carolinas medical center wants to sit in on the contract negotiations.
  7. This gives them control, regardless. We are getting a really good QB, regardless. I can make an argument for either, although, based on what I know and have seen, I prefer Stroud. These contracts are for 3 years--I get the feeling that they want stability around this new QB--and they plan on starting him. Only Dalton has a 2 year deal
  8. No--I was only kidding--hiding the fact that I have been on here all week--like I have no life, wife, or strife.
  9. I agree, and we may not get a really good WR there--I think we are going to sign a WR or two today/tomorrow.
  10. Did you type this during the 90 seconds you have to wait before the fries are ready? Just kidding. I have been able to work all week from home, so the NFL network is on in my home office and I am spending about 30 minutes on work every three hours. This is so addictive.
  11. I figured this three year deal is because he'd be a good #2 and they wanted to backload some salary. I think we grab another TE in the draft depending on what we do at WR today/tomorrow.
  12. This is dumb because Cincinnati is also the Queen CIty.
  13. Did we release Thomas (or are you guessing?). Ever get deja vu?
  14. His ego needs to be monitored by NASA.
  15. As I look at the WRs in the draft that should be there at #39, I hope one falls to us. However, there seems to be a shortage of WRs this year--so if one does not fall, we will be in bad shape if we don't grab a free agent or 2. I thoroughly think that Marshall is going to prosper outside the shadows of Moore and Chosen in year 3, and I fully think Shenault was not used well last year. If we can add Thielen, I have no problems with going after JuJu or a Chark or even Landry. Then in the draft, grab a WR again, but with low expectations.
  16. Of course, Frank, you could argue that a 6' 5", 250 lb Panther QB had a shortened career because of his size--he took on everyone. I dunno. I am trying to get my head right should Bryce get called out in KC first.
  17. I am starting to doubt that Stroud is the pick (that it has been decided)--but I am confident that it is down to Stroud and Young. I could support either, but I do not want to miss out on the opportunity.
  18. The window will be open starting next year (IMO) and will stay open depending on the QB development. Best case scenario? We win the South (possible) this year. New Orleans may have the best QB in 2023, but the rest of their roster is over the hill, imo. Atlanta is the team that might surprise, but with Heinicke and Ridder? Tampa Bay is now hungover from blowing their entire paycheck on the 2021 party. We need a few WRs and for a few WRs to step up--I expect them too. I think we will compete for the NFC S title in 2023, start a dynasty (QB pending) in 2024. I think people make mistakes when they confuse outcomes with goals. Goals should be to improve at every position, to improve fundamentals, and to control what you can control. Outcomes are the side effects for reaching your goals. The Super Bowl is a side effect, not a goal.
  19. I like Young, but dang--imagine Donte Jackson at QB--same size. Same durability?
  20. Tepper should love running the franchise, not evaluating talent--(see Jones, Jerry).
