  1. Some of Rhule's "Senior Bowl magic". How we discovered LS Fletcher.
  2. Did you know that last season, Chuba led the league (25% of his carries) in carries that lost or failed to gain yards? Some or most of that is on the OL, but CMC hardly ever loses yardage
  3. In my view: LOCKS Ickey (LT--giving up on the idea that he could play LG) Moton (RT) Christensen (LG; swing T) Corbett (starting RG) Bozeman (C with the ability to play G) Elflein (decent at C, not good at G) Erving (veteran depth at all 5 spots--could be a cap casualty if we attempt to sign a player however) Mays (raw upside and versatile) Jordan (depth at G) Deonte gets cut and MAYBE put on PS. If they liked his development, I doubt the sign Bozeman or draft Mays.
  4. I do not see McVay wanting a qb to develop--if he thinks he has to do that with Sam. He would want a QB who fits his system well enough to manage some games. I am split on that one.
  5. I worry about stopping the run, but if we could somehow get leads, that would negate that weakness a bit. I am not really worried about any other position than QB and DT.
  6. I have not read the thread yet, hepcat, but I think we have a better RB room than we did last year. That said, without CMC, this team has been awful.
  7. Here is something to think about with your brains: We potentially have 3 QBs on the roster this year better than our starter last year. You say to yourself, "But silly man--one of the QBs you mention was our starter. How could this be?" I say to you, "Yes, but he is possibly better this year. He has competition. He has a better OL and OC. He has to be better than last year." "And Corral could quite possibly be the second best QB (right now) on this roster, behind only Baker."
  8. About the WRs--If Marshall steps up, and Robbie gets the ball when he should be getting the ball, I expect the remaining WRs to fill the #4-6 spots nicely. Something that would help our WRs is a stud TE--maybe Tremble steps up
  9. I think the chances of Watson starting week 1 are about 0%. The way I understand it, the appeal either eliminates, decreases, or increases the initial decision. The NFL will not eliminate or decrease the decision. The suspension will be 6 games at a minimum, and a year (I am guessing) as a maximum. Secondly, there could still be complaints pending. This is not the publicity you advise your client to endure.
  10. I want Ickey at LT--but right now, BC is more ready. That will change. I just think BC is going to find a spot somehow. Of course, a swing T probably plays a lot of snaps over the course of a year.
  11. I think that would happen, but I would play the best LT/LG combination. In other words, if Ickey and BC are equal at LT but Ickey is the better G...
  12. Damn haynes, tell me you have more than that
  13. I have been saying this since the draft---BC LT, Ickey LG...Not that it is what I want, but for now, it is what I think they will do.
  14. Good point. Just get a picture, shake a hand, and move on. Hell, half of these autograph hounds are just trying to sell crap on ebay--profiting off someone else's hard work
  15. This just in: Corral intercepted his own bomb in the endzone--a hail mary--and ran it back the other way 109 yards for a pic 6.
  16. I just hope they can tackle.
  17. If CJ plays up to his potential, and Horn stays healthy, and then you have Jackson as well---and throw in Hartsfield (DB) and Taylor--I am not sure anybody else has more potential at CB.
  18. Just from reading the posts, it sure seems as if Baker has already pulled ahead of Sam--but Baker seems to be motivated by the competition. Not sure what goes on in Sam's head.
  19. I don't think so--I am a professor there, and I had not heard of Jones--but I do not go to the games either.
  20. My hope is that this is temporary--that when Baker wins the Job, Darnold gets cut or moved to #3
  21. That is like insider trading, and that is a crime on wall st. The difference? If the NFL goes lightly on players betting on their own teams, they risk tarnishing the brand---Watson has tarnished himself, but a ruling that diminishes his crime against women would also tarnish the brand. I think it should be 9 games or more, but I would hope that he would be fined several million dollars and forced into treatment.
