  1. FWIW, could today's signings tell us who is on the table in the Houston trade if it goes down? The tea leaves suggest DE
  2. Exactly--man, they have some versatility. If they stay healthy, and you consider that YGM will be much better and Burns enters his prime this season, this group could be really good. Note that we are not targeting guys over 30--they are building
  3. If we have a second rounder, I think so. I mean, we could go G this year and go with a T in round 1 next year--maybe that is what the Scott/Ervin signings were to do-- Personally, I would be OK signing a CB in free agency (a decent one) and calling it a day.
  4. Fox is a 275 lb 3/4 DE, based on his size--It will be interesting to see what they do with him. This is like Christmas. The Draft--what we have left of it if we sign DW, just got offensive.
  5. The Cardinals did not want to lose him---Rhule and Snow must have played a big role. The D just got scary today. About that CB--- This may move Chinn back to S more.
  6. All our pure DTs are NTs--yes, it seems we are
  7. He probably has the ability to anchor the end and play inside-Obada did that--at 275, he is not a pure DT. However, he is versatile, which is the buzz word of the defense.
  8. Six sacks in a rotation with Rams--275 lbs. Meet Obada's replacement and YGM's backup.
  9. He he. He calls his right hand a friend.
  10. FOCUS people--let this thread serve as an example of how easily you are distracted. If I had a dollar for every time I.....wasn't she in Transformers or something?
  11. How many big plays does a top DE make each game? How many times does a top WR get the ball in his hands each game? How often does a QB make a big play each game? How often is the game left up to the qb vs the DE and the WR? So if you will pay a top DE $20m, a top WR $20m--what is the QB worth?
  12. this group makes me wish I had gone into pharmaceutical sales.
  13. I call him Uncle Bill. He is my dad's brother, a man they called "Inferno Ike." For years my family thought the best place to meet women was at the Lancashire Cheese Sausage Cart at the fair. Man, who knew the fair made women pass gas.
  14. The hell I will--I am thanking you now. You'd understand if you knew my wife. They call me "Charlie" down at the burn center.
  15. I could be wrong, but if we could somehow figure out a way to get the football over the goal line and kick that very same football through the uprights immediately afterwards while disallowing the opposing team to do the same, we can win some games. How might we do that?
  16. but what about those that are injured? That's my point.
  17. In the 3-3-5 look, there is no need to cover the deep seam route like with the Tampa II. We just need a run stuffer. I am guessing this is that guy
  18. They change because their sources change--if you want to hear the current whispers, understand that. If you want facts, wait for the book to come out.
  19. Agree 100%. A T or a CB---if we do not sign one.
  20. My thought was that is if this issue drags out over the next several weeks, it could create doubt. I also think the Houston front office is seeing potential suitors signing QBs, realizing that the law of supply and demand is in play.
