  1. I would add that my impression of the female officials was positive. They really did a solid job, based on my observations. Better? At times, equivalent--the rest of the time. Hats off to them.
  2. I am not sure about Detroit--I doubt they go QB, but with those picks next year, they are set to give Goff a season and move up for a top QB in 2022. So I doubt it, but we should test it by asking them what they would take for Goff. Just window shopping, fwiw. But you cannot forget the teams who will not have a QB they like drafting behind us--hopefully, free agency and trades will fill a few of those openings, but as it stands now... a lot depends on teams within mortar range of moving up with Cincinnati, Philadelphia, and Detroit. I worry about SF, Denver, New England, Minnesota, and possibly Dallas.
  3. Encouraging and surreal. Encouraging: We had 25% of the cap in dead money and we lost our franchise QB, star RB, TE, All Pro MLB, etc. and we were in most games--winning five. Surreal: No fans in stands, no preseason, no camp, etc. Just seemed like a bunch of scrimmage games.
  4. Glad you did--it totally escaped my line of thought. Regrouping.
  5. Certainly--Foles is not a starter, but is the best backup in the NFL (along with Fitzmagic, I suppose)
  6. Destinations-the QB that seems to match the team best in my mind--no science or rumor involved--I can't help but wonder if WASHINGTON is not the third, mystery team. Maybe a division rival is why they need a triangulation of trade partners....Again conspiracy theory and blind speculation.
  7. CHICAGO--GARRAPPOLO COLTS -- WENTZ NINERS--TRUBISKI EAGLES--FOLES Not sure how this plays out, but the result (if these are the teams) that makes the most sense in my mind. DARK HORSE, MYSTERY PARTICIPANT: Washington--If they did not want to be mentioned, it could suggest a division rival is involved.
  8. It makes sense--but I will throw in a dark horse--the Broncos.
  9. Going out on limb here: The Eagles? I will be here all week. Try the veal.
  10. This is going to sound stupid on the surface--We probably need to keep Paradis for a season and re-sign Moton, and bring in a free agent, experienced LG. Draft the LT and RG. Reason?--the OL is about communication and you really do not want 2 rookies beside one another if you can help it. Defensive coordinators would feast on that. With that in mind, I have an interest in Myers out of Ohio State because he can play G for a season and move over to C in 2022.
  11. That should scare the hell out of you.
  12. No, it is a legitimate point--last year, no camp, preseason, etc. and you have a LT veteran and a second year player--not the time to move him to the left. However, if you plan on doing so after negotiations for a RT, etc. I think he might get a look there, but pay him as a RT, and maybe add a LT bonus?
  13. It is a good tackle draft this year, so on day 2, I am nearly certain we will grab a LT--and hope he develops into the next Jordan Gross and not Greg Little.
  14. I would not do that for fear of the memes that might launch. And since I started typing this, 3 extremely, very funny jokes were spun in my head.
  15. Now we have a different coaching staff, but I have to say that there have been no suggestions throughout his 4 years here that they would move him to the left side--Last year, when we had crap at LT, Moton stayed on the right side. When Rivera was here and we had terrible LTs starting, Moton stayed on the right side. Maybe they are coaching him up, but you can't give him LT money and hope he plays there. I am of the mindset that they tried him there in practice and preseason and he is a RT. This is not my opinion--just reading the tea leaves-I would love to see him step into that role.
  16. They know they have the tag, so they wanted to wait to see what the cap would be, I suppose.
  17. Yeah, Weatherly is the no brainer, but KK and a few others are better post june 1. I dunno--we shall see how our capologist and new GM work this out. Moton is a no brainer and, in contrast with Joe Person's "30% (chance we retain him)" prediction, there is little chance (4.5943%) that Moton will not be in a Panther uni next season.
  18. Are we even in negotiations? I have heard nothing, and free agency is a month away--of course, they will probably tag him.
  19. Do the run the cone drills at pro days? That is a good read. I also like to see the agility drills for DBs. the hip rolls, etc. And the hands of the receivers and TEs--do they catch the ball with their hands reaching back for the ball? etc. How sharp are their routes? And at the combine, you can compare these athletes---not at pro days. And since they are often in groups, some teams look to see how they interact with others, lead, etc.
  20. Now you're talking. Let the off-season begin.
  21. If I recall correctly, Tolbert had a terrible Super Bowl and Ealy was the star. Funny how things work out.
  22. Message to the Panthers: You have lost 2 Super Bowls. One to Tom Brady, the other to Peyton Manning. Both teams had solid defenses. It is time to step up and go for a title. Not a playoff birth, not a Super Bowl appearance--the Lombardi.
  23. They added 3 offensive players who, at one point in their careers not long ago, were the best at their respective positions--and they had 3 TDs together--the Bucs did not have to trade for them, draft them. They were gift wrapped. It was the most NBAish thing I have seen in the NFL. And for some reason, the refs in the Super Bowl think the team with the legendary, aging QB does not commit penalties.
