Just a scenario I thought of. I think it would measure how loyal Canales was to Bryce. Score is say 16-3 in the 3rd and you have 50 passing yards, but your defense is playing well, what do you do?

A) he doesn’t fit in Evero’s scheme. He was drafted to play Man in Snow’s scheme. B) you don’t need a high end CB in Evero’s scheme, you need guys like Jackson who can sit in there 1/3 or 1/4 of the field. Plus, Evero doesn’t have CBs shadow specific WRs. It’s financially irresponsible to keep him. C) Please trade him for an Edge Rusher, I would rather spend that money there or somebody across from McMillian that doesn’t have feet for hands.

If you’re Canales and Tampa manages to reconstruct what the Seahawks and Saints have done against the offense, and it starts getting into the 3rd and you need a spark. Do you pull a QB swap for a spark or let it ride? I know this may seem like a dumb question but it seems obvious now there is a clear method to shutting down Bryce & Co. Is it worth the chance to do that or does that cut ties between them forever?

No but it’s a pretty good stepping stone for the 2nd season of a rebuild. We weren’t supposed to go to the playoffs or Super Bowl this year. We were supposed to finish 6-8 wins and not be eliminated by Thanksgiving. We have surpassed that.

If we play Seattle or San Francisco I think we will have a chance because we have seen them before and maybe won’t be as dipshit nervous. The Rams will beat us into the pavement as punishment from last time.

If we win the division we might actually attract a decent free agent we don’t have to pay double for. Or a better head coach next time around instead of hiring whoever wants the job.

One thing I think people are missing is if we win we will have a winning record at 9-8. It’s not like we would win the division at 7-10 or 6-11. New York won a Super Bowl after finishing the regular season with 9 wins. Not saying we will, but when did 9 wins become unrespectable? Bold talk from a fan whose team is used to 5 wins per season

He was questionable for Seattle but Canales chose not to play him. He said he was considering it this week earlier today.

Really hope Rob Hunt being back next week motivates this OL a little more. Run game hasn’t had the surge it did earlier in the year. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think having David Moore’s fresh legs and veteran presence might help this young WR room next week.

If we keep Evero you don’t need a number 1. CBs don’t follow WRs in this scheme. You just need somebody of equal talent to Mike Jack

I think a better question is how about we use Jaycee Horn towards getting a top tier pass rusher? If we keep Evero, you don’t really need a CB1 with that system just another Mike Jackson. You do need pressure though. Horn never shows up when it matters.

That’s what happens when a team shows man coverage and you didn’t prepare for it all week and they are sending 2 extra people in pressure every play and your coach is begging you not to turn the football over.

Seattle might be the best defense in the league. It wasn’t like it was the Raiders. TMAC said after the game they threw a bunch of Man Coverage at them and they hadn’t planned for Man Coverage much all week (Seattle has only ran it like 25% this season)

Malik Willis has been stewing in a nearly identical system for a few years now, he will likely start at some shitty team who will give him no support and wonder what happened. Maybe Geno or Brissett

I don’t like Bryce. They were in man all day and we weren’t prepared for it or doing anything about it. Was on Canales. Bryce was just trying not to turn the ball over. When he had to push the ball into coverage, you saw the turnover. More pissed at Horn and Chuba tbh. I still haven’t forgotten when Chuba fumbled against Tampa Bay in OT and lost the fuging game,

Let Bryce Delhomme get this game out of his system and he will be back to normal next week. Defense will take a poo next week.
