  1. Damn. I went to Carowinds on Sunday in sweatpants and immediately regretted it as soon as I got out of the car. Lost a lot of water weight, can’t imagine long sleeves + sweats
  2. “Matt Corral under investigation after string of deaths in Panthers QB room” I can’t wait for preseason. I just wanna watch the kid throw the ball, I don’t care if it’s just one series
  3. We’ve had the 24/7 news cycle for years though, this year specifically seems like a lot of people are dying. But I don’t disagree. Bad things happen all the time and now it’s constantly in our faces. Reality is a mean, cold bitch.
  4. Him and KK were the best rookie DT combo I think I’ve ever seen. Our D got so much better from 2012 to 2013. Our run defense was ass last season, so I’d be for re-signing the man if it’s a good contract. We need all the help we can get.
  5. Seems like there are a lot more deaths with NFL players recently. RIP Rashard.
  6. That’s what I don’t understand about all the hate. He helped take the Browns - literally the brunt of all the shitty football team jokes beside the Lions - to the playoffs after going 1-15 and 0-16. It’s insane. The dude’s a capable QB which is one of our weakest point right now. We gave up a 4th rounder if he plays 70% of the snaps. That’s a fine deal
  7. Clausen’s worse. At least Sam can run, but they both stink like Bigfoot’s dick
  8. Same. I love his energy, which is why I like Corral so much. Baker’s a fighter and plays with that chip all the time. Always feels like he has to prove himself. And frankly, imo, he has. He’s proven that he at least belongs. Going to such a shitty franchise, breaking records, surviving Hue Jackson. No other QB from that draft survives that. Giving up basically nothing in draft capital and paying chump change for a decent QB is a win. I don’t understand the hate. People talk about his attitude being a problem. His attitude is what brought him from a walk-on starter to #1 overall pick. The guy’s on our team. Let’s see what he’s got
  9. Baker has played 11 more games and has thrown 38 more touchdowns and 4 more interceptions. On the Browns. these false equivalency posts that are popping up are ridiculous
  10. Well it’s nice having a QB on the roster with the ability to throw over 20 touchdowns a season, something we haven’t had since Cam and the great Pro Bowl QB Derek Anderson. This season could honestly go so many different ways. Rhule seems less involved with front office moves and we now have coaches with NFL experience. I’m high on McAdoo as OC. We knew Sam and PJ wouldn’t take us anywhere and relying on a 3rd round rookie is a mistake. We actually could make some noise if Rhule sits back and lets his coaches do their job. We have talent on the team and the most important position is upgraded, regardless of what the naysayers say. went from maybe 3.5 to an 8
  11. I’m still waiting for signings of Delhomme and Brian St. Pierre. Gotta catch ‘em all!
  12. Huh? Baker’s always left it all out on the field. A man can do commercials and still play football
  13. Damn, that’s wild. Not sure how much of it is “wanting to come here” vs “please get me the fug out of here” but either way it works out for us
  14. Yeah I don’t know how people are comparing him to Sam. Sam’s never played a full 16/17 game season or topped 20 TDs. He hasn’t even topped 10 touchdowns in the last two years. Baker broke the rookie TD passing record while missing two games (and shredding us in 2018, idk if people have forgotten). He’s played 16 games a season 2/4 years (missed 2 games his rookie year and missed 2 last year). People are grasping at straws to be mad about something
  15. The more I think about it the more I like it. It’s basically only one year of cap space for a conditional 5th in 2024. If he plays well, awesome! If not, bye! The thing that’s most exciting is that our offense has been so bland and boring since Cam left. There’s no energy. No one gets hype. Baker has attitude in spades, so seeing that will be a breath of fresh air from the stale BS we’re accustomed to
  16. In Baker’s defense, last year he was hurt and his HC kept playing him even though it was obvious. Shades of Rivera trotting out Cam with one shoulder. He played all 16 games in 2020 and was 26/8 TD/INT (not including the playoffs and a W). He’s not prime Peyton Manning but he’s not poo either
  17. Didn’t want him due to $$, but he’s better than any QB on the roster and he’s a Panther now. Plus, a conditional 5th is so much better than what we gave up for Darnold. Gives Corral time to get up to speed as well without having to watch Sam play. Alright Baker my man let’s start cooking!!
  18. Based on the last couple of seasons, that’s unfortunately pretty optimistic thinking. I agree with YGM though, I think he’ll step up. Year 3 is when Charles “Big Money” Johnson came on. May just be wishful thinking since we really need someone to help with run defense. McAdoo likes tight ends so I’m expecting a nice year for Tremble as well
  19. The face of the future. It even looks like it’s crying already; off to a great start
  20. I mean, what else is he supposed to say? “Yeah, Sam came in looking like a deer in headlights and keeps talking about ghosts.” Players pretty much always hype up their teammates in pre-season even when the whole world knows they’re bad. Admittedly it was nice seeing a bit into Denniston Oliver Moore, Jr. though. Sounds like he hates his name lol
  21. Agreed 100%, you basically said what I did but much more eloquently. Shouldn’t Ricky Spanish be off causing a ruckus in Langley Falls?
  22. Wouldn’t call Shaq “young” anymore, but he’s not too far off. It’s easy to run on us and we didn’t really do much to fix that, except for simply hoping our players get better. “The Process” so to speak. We also lost our best pass rusher. YGM is important this year and if he doesn’t improve then it could get ugly again in the run game. Derrick Brown also needs to show why he was drafted top 10 after a lackluster sophomore season. I still think Chinn would be better suited more towards the line of scrimmage, but whatever. Our secondary has a lot of talent and Horn coming back is great. If Henderson can even become average, that’s a huge boost for us.
  23. DJ isn’t going to ask for a raise lol. Christian Kirk signed for $20M/year before DJ signed his deal, but Terry McLaurin making like $23M and some change is gonna change his mindset? Come on
