I don't blame Baker, he's put in an impossible situation with how far the Panthers are behind other NFL teams in NFL coaching and preparedness

defense is like "what the fug"

Ioannidis has been fantastic since week 1

Aaron Wilson: Tepper's patience with Rhule growing thin
amcoolio replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
They won't fire him, but if they have a really bad season and clearly want to rebuild, both sides could 'part ways' a la Rivera, Reid in Philly, etc. Sometimes a new voice is needed after a long time -
List of Top NFL Head Coaching Candidates in 2023
amcoolio replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'll take any of them except Bienemy, who I think would be a Rhule level coach I like the Eagles OC and Lions OC but I know Tepper is kicking the tires on Tomlin, Payton and Harbaugh -
Aaron Wilson: Tepper's patience with Rhule growing thin
amcoolio replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
Tepper is embarrassed, he'll pay whatever it takes to get a Payton/Harbaugh/Tomlin level coach (I think Pittsburgh will go 2-14 and Tomlin will part ways and Tomlin will be the new coach -
The new head coach in Miami is doing wonders with their offense. Of course, they have Waddle and Tyreek Hill so it may be a little easy. But we need someone like that.

Give me some hope. Can this offense be turned around?
amcoolio replied to Khaki Lackey's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it's too late. The Panthers are so far behind, they needed to be at this level of offensive execution like the 3rd week of training camp, not going into week 4 of the regular season. They are basically running a cookie cutter NFL offense that is easy to gameplan for. -
very little, mostly towards official calls. I was in the suite around 30 yard line and I did notice that DJ Moore doesn't get open, EVER. And Robbie Anderson runs a lot of deep routes that are always double covered. We run very little motion before the snap. Honestly the offense is so vanilla and predictable, no wonder Mayfield is struggling. He did miss a some open players in the intermediate though.

Exactly, everyone wanted him gone. forum has the memory of a puppy

We need a total clean house with the coaching staff. The offense the last few seasons has been beyond predictable. It's too late to fix it now, and frankly we might as well trade CMC becuase we've wasted 3 years of his prime

Previous Game is Under Review - Panthers (Week 2 - @ Giants)
amcoolio replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
Brady is just a better passing blocking LT than LG... I wonder when they'll just swap those two until Icky gets it. Running up the middle should be very good with Icky/Elf/Corbett I think Derrick Brown is good, its just they don't have the right personnel and scheme around him I'd love to see what better coaches can do for this team, it just seems they are woefully unprepared every game. McAdoo frankly looks worse than Brady. If we had just average offense, we'd be 2-0 right now. -
At the end of the day, our defense is good enough to win a super bowl...they are ninth in the league despite being on the field so much and having short fields because of the terrible offense. It's picking nits at this point until the offense gets fixed.

Are we at the lowest point in panthers history?
amcoolio replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
The lowest point is the Cardinals playoff game. You just knew that the roster was aging, Delhomme was baked and there was no hope for the immediate future. -
Tally of Everyone Who Believed in Rhule
amcoolio replied to PantherNation123's topic in Carolina Panthers
To be fair, its very hard to find a great coach. The new Denver coach, everyone thought he would be the next prodigy, and he's been absolutely terrible so far. The Giants also made a bunch of questionable decisions yesterday, so did Stefanski with the Browns, and both of those were highly sought after coaches. McVay's don't grow on trees. Has there been a single great Panthers coach since 1995? Ron and John had a lot of faults as well. -
Corbett came in and started immediately. I don't think Campen hates Bozeman. Maybe he has lost a step

It melts down on any iota of news, ever

Luke would be a good coach, but he has to have experience first, you can't just hire a guy who has zero coaching experience for the NFL. Hopefully a new coach brings him in as linebackers coach/assistant head coach
-
I've long thought (in all sports, not just NFL) that the head coach should be a leader that everyone looks up to, is smart and makes tough decisions rather than micromanage, much like the presidency (too bad its just partisan liberal vs. conservative bullshit every year and neither party nominates a true leader who can unify a nation) Flores, like Tomlin, can lead men. McVay knows everything about you and has the personality to be your best friend as soon as you join the team. We need one of them types. Rivera was a good leader but couldn't make tough/smart decisions
-
Bieniemy is bad. You'd be hating him 3 games into the season just like everyone else. He talks out his ass more than any coach ever. I'd rather have Hue Jackson. Count me on the Flores train too, I would have dismissed Rhule and gone with Flores this offseason

They'll change avatars, pretend like it never happened, and be back here posting positive things when we start winning again. This has happened on these forums plenty of times

Think Snow will defend his run D after today?
amcoolio replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cleveland has a top 5 defense and we still put up 24 on them with a generally bad day for the offense. Our defense lost this game and its inexcusable. Our line got destroyed by a line missing several key players. -
Panthers official unofficial depth chart is now out !!!
amcoolio replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kinda disappointing that JC Tretter wanted to play for the Panthers this offseason but they never made him an offer so he retired, and now we have to start Elflein. Bozeman must have fallen off/be pretty disappointing this training camp to not really even challenge for the starting center spot
