(*probably fake news*) Panthers turned down a trade offer last night.

Charlie did call the first 10 picks correctly, the last 5 Panthers #1 picks correctly, and said that Ickey was #1 on our board...he clearly has in's with the team -

Well its from Campbell so we know its legit. I would have done it for Linderbaum. Our offensive line would have gone from worst to first with Icky-Bozeman-Linderbaum-Corbett-Moton and then you just have to hope Hoskins and Roy continue to develop. But outside of the top 13 players and Linderbaum, I would hold on to Brown -
FO Wise: There has clearly been a power shift

Depends on the QB. Subtract Aaron Rodgers and Sam Darnold, and I think we are head and shoulders above the Packers roster wise, and they finished #1 in the NFC last year. But until we get that QB, it doesn't really matter. I'm not a Rhule apologist, but comeon, he's had Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold, PJ Walker and Cam Newton, none of which are top 25 quarterbacks in a 32 team league -

I think its moreso that Rhule wants a chance with a good QB, not the pu-pu platter he has had to deal with the last two seasons -
Round 1 - The Carolina Panthers select Ikem Ekwonu

Even if he moves to LG, we still need that and its a hugely important position, particularly with his elite run blocking skills for Christian McCaffrey. He is a hard worker though and improved every year and I think he will be great at LT -
I can almost guarantee that one or more of the Corral/Ridder/Howell/Strong grouping will be there in the 4th. Only three teams are looking for a developmental QB in that range and we’re one of them. My guess is Seattle goes Malik in the 2nd and Detroit takes Ridder or Corral in the third (if they have a pick left from that trade). I think Tampa and the Giants are happy with their QB room and the Saints can’t afford to take one with their holes and money already spent. Atlanta is a possibility but they have way too many holes and like Mariota

Charlie Campbell called the first 10 picks correctly (except the order of Kayvon/Neal), but yeah, once there are trades, it's literally impossible to call the rest. I honestly think that tonight the first 9 teams knew exactly how the draft was going 1-10 before the draft, becuase it was leaked that the Texans were taking Stingley and the Jets Sauce this morning

Malik is too small, and he doesn't have the top end speed. He's a lot closer to PJ Walker than you guys would like to admit. PJ is almost like a perfect NFL comparison for him. He's several stratospheres away from Russell Wilson's realm when it comes to passing, reading defenses, scrambling, timing, and football IQ. Malik just seems like a guy who can throw the football a long way but doesn't have any touch or finesse that is required in the NFL I think Malik might be even worse at timing intermediate throws than Cam and Darnold, which is the absolute last thing we need and I will pull my eyes out if I have to see that much longer

To me, Minshew is now a must get. He has the moxie and ability to get the ball downfield and punish you if you load the box. I will never understand not just getting Minshew for cheap instead of being in this situation with Darnold, which was at least a 50/50 with what capital you were giving up and the money he makes, which to me is too big a risk

Patriots took someone at 29 that nobody in the draft media had in the first two rounds

Round 1 - The Carolina Panthers select Ikem Ekwonu
amcoolio replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
It was leaked this morning that the Texans and Jets were taking the two cornerbacks. Once that happened, and Giants publicly wanting Neal and not the other two, the cards aligned for Carolina -
The Giants prefered Neal and the Panthers prefered Ekonwu...I guess the Giants thought someone could trade up with the Panthers for Kayvon

He got his bag, doesn't care anymore

Hollywood Brown for Linderbaum and a 4th is one of the best trades of all time
-
8 and a half inch hands. That seems comically low
-
I'm so glad we don't have Smol Hands Blaine Gabbert on our team. Best of luck
-
With the way the draft is going, when we pick in the 4th, one of the QB's will be available. The QB draft is that bad and not many teams are looking for one in the top 3 rounds.
-
That is one of the dumbest trades of all time. A first round pick for Hollywood Brown? A below average WR1/WR2? (That needs to be paid)

Charlie Campbell went 10 for 10

Charlie Campbell is now 8 for 8, so I think he has in's with lots of teams.

Charlie has picked the last 5 Panthers picks and said we preferred Ekonwu over Neal. Any question he has a source on the inside now? lol- 328 replies

Charlie Campbell is a wizard. Said our board was 1. Ekonwu 2. Neal and 3. Cross and said we would take Ekonwu. Man has picked the last 5 Panthers 1st round pick
-
Its a no brainer to trade back to 9 IMO

Charlie is 3 for 3. Lets see if the rumors that the Jets fell in love with Sauce are true
