Yep. The lack of responsibility and culture was present when JB was coach too. I remember reading that one of the players had been charged about having too much weed with intent to sell or some such. I don't think the new majority owners care and unless I'm mistaken, have zero ties to the area. I know one of the minority owners is from or lives in NC though.

This was the biggest missed call in my opinion. Almost every player pushes off when they drive to the basket, so those are whatever.

I love seeing highly ranked teams going down in any sport, but not due to the refs. On replay, it was an obvious missed call.
-
Davis is just too young for that call

I like the way the end of this game has been going. Carolina can get a walk off win with the right shot.

The video/audio sync issue was pretty funny. Hearing the ball hit the rim while a guy was dribbling was great. UNC has the lead again.
-
Yeah, but UNC is supposed to be this deep top 3 team and Georgia Tech hasn't been good in years. And I'm here for the upset if it happens. Otherwise, UNC will get an earned win.

Woof. UNC is having trouble with Georgia Tech

When is Coach Canales introductory press conference?

Joking aside, that is a realistic expectation. -
Why carolina can not* afford to lose Burns
jayboogieman replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Gold says the number 1 thing the Panthers need to do to be successful is trade or let Burns go. He explains his thoughts and it mostly revolves around cap space and better use of the money available than overpaying Burns. -
Locked On Panthers with Solomon Wilcots
jayboogieman replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
They talk about what kind of coach and teacher Canales is They talk about Young including the impact of losing the previous coaching staff on him and how he probably feels partially responsible for the coaches losing their jobs. They talk about having patience, especially Tepper. Says he needs to give things time to grow and mature. Solomon uses planting a tree and then moving it around as an example. Wilcots thinks Young isn't broken mentally and will become a successful QB but he'll need the proper support from the coaching staff. They talk briefly about Burns. -
Solomon brings some wisdom in this and it's worth the watch.

Why carolina can not* afford to lose Burns

And Burns had already signed a contract and was being paid(16 million) more than most people see in their lifetimes. So, he should have played to his fullest instead of playing not to be injured because he was scared of not signing a huge deal. And his play will now result in him not getting that huge deal he wanted anyway. -

That double edged sword is there every single snap of a game even if the player is making business decisions. It's the risk they take to get paid to play the game in the first place. -

How many of those other guys played as much as Burns did? How many of them were put into pass rush situations vs playing the run or being told to hold the edge? Just looking at one stat doesn't tell the whole story. Also, there's not a player on the roster that shouldn't be traded if the price is right and that includes Brown, Thelen, and Burns. The Panthers need a huge infusion of talent and most likely a couple years away from winning at the earliest. If getting that talent infusion means trading away the more win now guys, so be it. -
If the price is right, I'd trade him

Keep Ickey and Moton at tackle this season. Build the interior of the line by drafting two guards and a center with the first three picks in whatever order the highest rated guy is. A solid interior line will benefit whoever is QB. Maybe bring in a couple of aging vets as well if they're not too expensive.

Tony Pauline: Campen was Tepper's "eyes and ears"

According to the mayo clinic, he is if he's a narcissist as most think. -

I pull for UNC at times, but yeah, I'll pull for the other team when they play App State or State. The Duke/UNC games are a coin flip though.

Yeah, I don't think they've cared at all. I've seen some scores posted on twitter and such, and it's been bad for weeks.
