  1. Here's an example of some of the NIL money being thrown around. This is for Texas and some of the women are being paid, softball, diving, swimming, and volleyball specifically. Source
  2. Interesting. Doesn't Sanders' son play QB? I can't see Sanders playing Rashada over his own kid nor can I see Rashada wanting to sit.
  3. Yep. If there is a signed contract, lawyers will get involved and Rashada probably walks away with whatever settlement money he can get along with another NIL deal from some other school.
  4. Since it seems the players are now employees or contractors, will guys that wanted to transfer instead of going into the draft try to back out and go into the draft or to another school if a NIL deal falls through? Article
  5. This upcoming NBA draft is a two player one, Wemby and Scoot Henderson. The Hornets will get pick 3 at best.
  6. I thought the girl looked just like Thandie Newton too.
  7. The clowns in charge of this team didn't think that far ahead. If they had, it would mean playing chess instead of checkers, and they haven't shown they have what it takes to play chess.
  8. It's on HBO right now. The opening segment with John Hannah playing a doctor doing a talk show was great.
  9. I've had one foot out the door for a while now. The only NFL football I've watched the last 2-3 years has been what little of Panthers' games I've watched and I didn't watch a whole game all season. As others have said, relocating or sticking with Rhule. Depending on who ends up the new coach and QB could be the end of my fandom too. I can get my football fix watching college games where I have zero interest in any of the teams outside of wanting to be entertained.
  10. He didn't. They rehired Cliff out of desperation. Remember, they wanted the Golden State assistant and he had agreed to become the new HC before backing out of the deal a few days later. Was firing JB an emotional move? Maybe.
  11. He's playing the young bigs a few games each. It's odd, but I guess he feels playing them a week or two each and then cycling to the next one is fair.
  12. I played the game a few years ago. It was pretty good too. I meant to watch the show but forgot it was on. I'll either stream it later today or catch it on a replay at some point this week.
  13. I'm not saying he wouldn't make more over the life of the contract by staying in school. The only way he would get more than $5 mil a year based off this past first round pick contracts, is going top 5-6. So maybe he(and others) feel he could get close to the same money for one year by staying in school and playing less games. It is possible, though not likely, he and his agent have been told he wouldn't be a top 5 pick despite how QB needy some teams are.
  14. Not total years/value, but if a guy can get $5 million or so for a single season of less games, that has to be something to strongly consider, especially if you come from a poor family.
  15. I don't feel like looking things up, but from what I remember, SD wasn't sold on Brees being "elite" and had concerns about his injuries. So, they let him go. Then Brees went to NO and landed in Payton's system where they won a title together. The whole which is more important, the QB or HC thing, is almost chicken and egg. You have to have both and it's high time the Panthers go looking in another direction because the defensive guys they have long preferred have yielded mediocre at best results even with a franchise QB. Harbaugh, despite playing QB, is another defensive, ball control guy ala Fox, Rivera, and every other Panthers HC.
  16. Payton has a that says otherwise. Edit: That said, I don't want either of them.
  17. It really is the best way to go. Hopefully, Fitt, Tepper, and whoever the new HC is sees that as well.
  18. You also need to look at mileage(injuries and just general hits) and cost(contract). The rookie has less of both than a 5 year vet mvp type.
