Frank Reich: Panthers have made their decision
carpanfan96 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Slowly and surely sounds like who we are picking isn't who we thought we'd pick when we traded up. -
The trade was done with 30 seconds left. Minnesota called it in, ravens say they tried but couldn't reach the league representative doing trades at the draft.

He turned down a 4 year deal with 175 fully guaranteed reportedly earlier this off-season as well. Plus a non fully guaranteed deal that would have made him the highest paid nfl qb. Word is he wants 5 years, fully guaranteed and to be the highest paid qb in the same contract.

Person: Richardson still in the conversation...if we trade down

Trying to get Houston to bite and give up some picks and then get AR at #2. -

Anthony Richardson “knocked” S2 cognitive test “out of the park”.
carpanfan96 replied to DFive's topic in Carolina Panthers
I honestly don't care about his combined performance, it's what I've heard about his whiteboard work and meetings more than anything. Considering he's the only one of the top three qb's with prototypical nfl frame and size. -
Why I've said you take AR and hope you can fix his footwork. If it hits, you've got a superstar. If it doesn't hit you've got an exciting player who can run and can make deep throws off play action. Both the other two top QB's have frame / size issues and with CJ there are other red flags for sure.

This gonna shock people Nfl red flags... he's got the least by looking at tape. Stroud actually has a narrow build and has pocket issues when he isn't cleanly protected. Young has a slight build and is small in height which is a huge red flag in the NFL. I mean he's not even as thickly built as Murry. Richardson has mechanic issues that look fixable and lack of college experience compared to the above 2... That lack of experience is actually a good thing in his case because that makes you think the mechanics are fixable and word about his work ethic and football iq makes me think he'll work his ass off to fix them and succeed doing so. -
Clearly Stroud Clean pocket needed, narrow build Plan b issues.

I mean tape not highlights. From pre snap to the throw, the processing and football iq is easily seen. It's the mechanics breakdown on throws that causes the majority of his issues -

I've said since the trade that it wasnt for Bryce or CJ but for AR. Going to #3 like originally intended doesn't make sense for CJ or Bryce, but does for AR. The cost for #1 was similar so they jumped for it. Played the process and BY jumped out to them. Still 100% think the pick is AR because to get him you had to jump #7 #5 and #4 for sure. -
Think of a memory test type of thing. Say you have 10 objects on a wall and each light up in a pattern very quickly. You've got to remember the pattern by watching the whole area at once since they light up so quickly. Those are facets of the test

Not really word after the combine was he had the best interviews of any qb and was the best on the whiteboard and one of the more knowledgeable qbs in the draft football wise. The s2 score is not a surprise at all, especially if you watch his tape. -

90ish apparently He's also apparently been one of the best QB's on the white board and with football knowledge in interviews as well. -
That team response...makes me believe what he said even more. Lol

AR reflecting on pro day with Steve smith and Nfl Network
carpanfan96 replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
54% completion percentage - "50 drops and 19 throw aways = around 65% completion percentage. These people on TV are PAID to push certain narratives by management. FOR THE RECORD...Bryce is best and Stroud is the safest." Dan Orlovski quote -
Evero 3-4 I'd bit different, Tuttle was signed to play nose.
-
What do you mean inaccurate deep? Deep throwing is his strength and by all acounts did well today on his deep throes.
-
Apparently he's very knowledgeable about football and is knocking meetings out of the park even compared to young and Stroud.

Flat out promised in meetings that he knows what his flaws are on tape and they will be corrected
