  1. Guess you missed the part where he said “Mac Jones comes in as a typewriter”
  2. I am holding my judgement as of yet. But there are a lot of accusations coming about. And what has been described by these women so far fits the way predators target women. Put them in a vulnerable situation and attack that vulnerability. Im not saying Watson is doing this. Up until now I’ve always thought very highly of him. But I also realize there’s potentially 22 women accusing him of this? That’s an absurdly large number of people. I don’t know what to make of it. I do know that I wouldn’t want anyone guilty of such a thing to have any association with the Panthers whatsoever. Your comments seem to suggest to me that it’s not a big deal. Kraft did it, lots of people did it, he’s a good player so it shouldn’t matter. If that is what you are saying then I strongly disagree with the sentiment
  3. There isn’t one rich or famous person that is a sexual abuser that I give one fug about. There’s barely any celebrities I care about in the first place. Watson may be innocent though it certainly doesn’t look good right now. But if he’s guilty of what he’s been accused of then he’s a piece of poo. And anyone who would support someone like that simply because they could win their team a Super Bowl is a piece of poo well
  4. Always the greatest football related gif. Always.
  5. Only WR in the league to eclipse 1,200 yards the last two seasons... he did so with Kyle Allen and Teddy Bridgewater as his QBs...
  6. Obviously it COULD have happened. Is that likely at all though? I think Texans are one of the worst run teams in the NFL. I don’t give them much credit. But if it ever got out that that paid 22 people to accuse their star player of sexual assault just to spite him then they have committed NFL suicide. They are forced to sell the team. No player would ever want to go play fir them again. It’s over. Even I don’t think they are capable of being that stupid. I love Deshaun Watson and have always thought of him as a stand up guy. And right now I still do. But it’s getting harder and harder to feel that way atm. Blaming the Texans ownership though? That’s nonsense
  7. So am I still a negative moron “Teddy fan” for not wanting to give up three 1sts, Burns and Chinn for a single player or are some of you coming around to realize it’s to risky to give up that much on one guy? Usually it’s injury you are worried about but the reality is that anything that goes wrong with a player you sell the farm for is magnified. If you draft a player and he doesn’t pan out you are put 1 single pick. If you trade three picks and two starters for a player and he doesn’t work out... you are out three picks and two starters. Giving up that much for any player doesn’t make sense to me. Here’s why.
  8. Pre injury, both showed potential. They are still really young and have experience starting. They can play all along the line. I just don’t understand the outrage
  9. I don’t know why you participate in a football forum if you’ve already determined these guys were the wrong moves. Michael Oher was considered the “wrong move” too but was solid for us. Trading away a pro bowl Trai Turner was considered by many here the “wrong move” and he’s just been cut from the Chargers roster. These guys are being paid backup money. Pricey backups but backups nonetheless. They are both still young and both have a lot of starts under their belts. Not much more you can ask for as a backup. Determining they were the “wrong move” a couple hours after signing them is absurdly premature and unaware of how the league often works
  10. A sensible and leveled response that isn’t an overreaction either negatively or positively... you must be lost.
  11. That’s odd. I thought those of us that insisted Watson was highly unlikely were all just idiots... color me shocked
  12. To be fair, when I say he might have the lowest floor, I really mean out of the top 8 QBs in the draft or so. I can certainly see his floor being lower than Mond or Mac Jones. But I can also see the ceiling being higher than Lawrence or Wilson or Fields
  13. I agree with you there. He’s a pick you swing for the fences with. Like you, I was a massive Fields fan heading into last season and thought we would be bad enough to be I king either him or Fields. I still really like Fields and he’s my 3rd favorite but his up and down season cooled me off on him a bit. Would happily take either, but given the choice, I find myself really leaning towards Lance’s potential now
  14. I’ve been on the Lance train since Lawrence fell out of reach. He’s my 2nd favorite QB in the draft. Certainly could bust and be amongst the worst. But I think his ceiling is higher than anyone else at the position as well.
  15. He’s the one I would prefer to lose out of those 3 players. We need Chinn and Burns desperately. This defense is already underwhelming. Losing those two makes it awful
  16. Neither does your grammar. But no, I’m well aware we need another QB. But giving up potentially 6 starters to get Watson isn’t a good move. Watson for most of his career has had Hopkins and Fuller. I’m the biggest DJ Moore fan you’ll find but those two are better than DJ and Anderson. Trading away CMC essentially gives Watson a worse running game than he’s had there. The Oline is a push. Houston has had better TEs for him. Both defenses are terrible but suggesting we trade two of our only four mentionable defensive starters means we are one of the worst defenses heading into the season next year. And we have the Saints and Bucs coming off a super bowl win. He only had to compete with the Titans and still couldn’t get a playoff win. I love Watson. He’s the 4th or 5th best QB in the league. Won’t matter. If we have to gut ourselves of talent to get him we will be bringing him into a tougher situation to overcome than the one he’s been in. I’m spelling this out pretty clearly. Keep your blinders on if you want but I’m talking reality here champ. The only advantage he will have is coaching staff. Other than the, we will be amongst the least talented teams in the league with no first round picks to improve that for 3 years.
  17. Ah, so you are actually 12 then. Being a “Debbie downer” is also an opinion. Because if we have to gut this team to get Watson then suddenly we don’t have any more talent than the Texans but in a much tougher division than the one they currently play in. How many playoff wins has Watson carried them to so far? How many championships has he won with them? I am all for getting him if the price is reasonable. But it doesn’t sound like it will be. Suddenly, from my perspective, the ones saying “send them 3 1sts, Chinn, Burns and CMC” are Debbie downers to me. Then we just become the Texans of the NFC South
  18. Are you actually 12 years of age or is acting that way just part of your overall act and persona? We know you want Watson but just calm down a bit. @Mr. Scot isn’t really wrong either. You both have opinions and that’s really all it is right now. Houston obviously don’t want to trade Watson though it’s becoming more clear to them they may have to. That said, it doesn’t mean they’ll do it this year and if/when they do, it doesn’t mean it’ll be to us. To the people on here that I keep reading acting as if they know exactly how things are going to play out, chill out. You don’t know. You have an opinion and that’s fine. Ripping everyone else that has a differing opinion than yours however, is extremely childish. Because nobody on here knows. Nobody.
  19. Seems like most of your have decided to try your fortune at the poker tables. The felt hasn’t been this soft since the boom!
  20. Yeah that’s true. In what what do you perceive me disagreeing with that? I’m telling you what a decorated health scientist said champ...
  21. Actually that is true. I’m certainly taking this virus seriously. Everyone should. But Dr. Michael Osterholm is a public health scientist and disease expert and has literally said it will get easier to contain it. It’s somewhat a counter productive point because that insinuates many people will have it but it does get easier down the line. Those who recover will cease to be carriers. It’ll spread like wildfire in the early stages.
  22. Young children that are infected very rarely show any symptoms but can transmit the virus. So anyone with children going to school should be extra aware if they start feeling ill
  23. Or Luke... Or Davis... Or Olsen... Or Norman... Or Short... Or Stewart... Or Ealy... Or Star... Or Tillman... Do I need to list our whole oline, finish the secondary and name a few specific holy sh*t plays our WRs have made in clutch time or are you capable of recognizing Cam isn't the whole team?
  24. If you are in favor of eliminating punting from the game then please just go watch arena football and stop screwing up the NFL
