Yeah like I said In another thread once Watson signs with the Falcons or a different team Tepper and Rhule will go full on PR mode and probably say they weren’t even really interested and that the price tag was too high so they backed out. Didn’t want to part with Burns or Chinn who they will undoubtedly have pissed off. Smugness is not a quality a humble person possesses. Will also start telling everyone how great Darnold is when it is exactly the opposite.

Next move, once Watson decides to play elsewhere, will be full on PR spin from Rhule saying that the price tag was “too much” and they were not going to trade any of the young players that they have now pissed off. Will try and save some sort of face by saying they backed out because the price tag was too high. this upcoming year is going to be a low point for the franchise that may only be saved by Rhule getting fired or Rhule pulling a petrino and leaving for a college job by thanksgiving

The move is pretty much Watson or bust. He will end up not coming here and then the panthers will go into panic mode and reach for whatever scraps are left. This is a poorly managed team from top to bottom. Dark times ahead.

Williams is the duke team. He is a really solid player. Good energy and a force inside. If you can neutralize him with fouls or a player they turn into hero ball with Banchero and Griffin chucking threes.

Considering Duke and their NBA draft picks got taken to woodshed by Wofford players last night - I don’t think it’s a lock duke would have beaten Carolina again. Still, I’ll take the sure thing. Heels turning Mike’s goodbye celebration into a wake two weeks ago is a memory and game that will live forever. this has been spectacular to watch the wheels come off for duke - sure they could possibly win a title this year but any team can take Williams out of the game then they are in serious trouble. go heels!

Ha! I was so jacked up it took me a while to get to bed. I’m not a drinker. I almost went out and did some yard work to burn off some of the excitement. This W was one of the biggest wins in team history - and arguably the biggest win in regular season history of the program. They absolutely ruined the party in front of all the entire brotherho….I mean Semesterhood and you could tell Mike did not want to be there for little after party that felt more like a funeral than a celebration. fug duke

This was the point I was trying to make about the OL from Western Iowa or whatever crap school he was at drafting him #6. Data does not support drafting a player from that playing field #6 overall especially if there are other OL prospects from the P5 available. You just don’t do it. I’m not saying he won’t make it in the NFL but at #6 is a colossal reach.

The sexual predator aspect is bad enough but according to several credible NFL beat people, Watson does not want to play in Charlotte and will not wave his NT clause. so in the midst of a possible career jeopardizing investigation with serious ramifications on and off the field, the Panthers still tried to trade for him and he told them No thanks. Let that sink in. Move on Tepper my God.
