  1. If I were betting, I would pick the Cardinals to win against Tampa. Neither team is very good, but the Cardinals are playing at home and Tampa is playing horribly.
  2. I will grant you the Rams, but they had a good defense. But Tampa's run game started clicking towards the end of the season and was dominant in the Superbowl. KC ran the ball pretty well towards the end of the season to.
  3. Struggling kicker, 3rd and 2, and you throw a 30 yard pass? Seems like you would want to get your kicker closer, but oh well. Chargers recover the onside kick, game over.
  4. Never thought I would say this, but Detroit could be our toughest remaining game.
  5. So does Tampa. If both teams win their next two games (a big gigantic if) then we would be playing at Tampa for the division lead.
  6. The dolphins haven't had a running game all year. Buffalo and KC both run the ball well, and the Bengal's running game has gotten better over the last few weeks. The Dolphins need some semblance balance if they are going to challenge the teams at the top.
  7. These are supposed to be two of the better offensive teams in the league, and yet the defenses are dominating. Miami had one td off of a freak play and another when the defender fell down. SD couldn't score a TD when they had it inside the 10. Both of these teams really need a better running game if they are going to compete with KC, Philly, or Buffalo.
  8. I watched the replay, and I am still not sure what exactly happened.
  9. I found the 2003 stats. In 2003, 7 teams were averaging more than 25 a game, with one averaging more than 30. This year, 7 teams are averaging more than 25 points a game, none of them are up at 30. Looking at the top rushing teams, in 2003 the Ravens were the top rushing team, with 167 yards a game. This year the Bears are the top, with nearly 190 while the Eagles are second with 163. Admittedly, the styles are different, but running the ball and playing defense are still very good ways to win. That being said, of course we need better qb play to have a chance at the Super Bowl. Hopefully, we will get it in the offseason.
  10. I keep hearing that yet scoring appears to be on par with 2003. Running the ball and defense has made a comeback this year. A quick check of stats shows that teams were actually averaging slightly more ppg in 2004 than they are this year. 2004 is as far as the stats go back on the site I checked.
  11. I don't know, I mean Bonnafon got a decent amount of Carries, But overall, Ron is like a lot of old school coaches in the NFL today. He overuses his best running backs. Don't know yet if Wilkes does that.
  12. Seattle has a terrible run defense. Steelers are far better at playing the run. It will be a lot tougher to run next week. Fortunately, the Steelers offense isn't very good, especially if Trubisky is still the Qb.
  13. As a head coach, he is plus three in the point differential at Seattle. I think Rivera is about -100.
  14. That last series by the defense was bad. But we essentially shut down one of the best offenses in the league for the first 29 minutes of the second half. All in all, a good day for the defense and the run game.
  15. Terrible play by the d there. Forget about the pick or the hit. Just ensure you can tackle the guy inbounds
  16. Agree But I would almost prefer they kick it out of bounds than kick it to a Seattle returner.
  17. I seriously doubt anyone on the staff thinks Darnold is a franchise player/qb. They probably just think he is the best option at this point.
  18. Why the hate on Hubbard? He has had a great game today.
  19. The way our oline is blocking, I might be able to pick up 1 or 2 yards. Ok, maybe not, but I might only lose a couple. lol
  20. Well, we are in the red zone. Time for four consecutive poorly executed passing attempts.
  21. On third down. If we sacked em on 1st or 2nd down, I have no doubt they would pick it up.
