  1. I am not sure if the comparison is really valid. We threw the ball less than 90 percent of the NFL teams. And we ran a lot, so blocking was at a premium. So it stands to reason that our tight ends are going to be fairly low in receptions.
  2. I am not saying we shouldn't draft him. I don't honestly know. But I don't think it matters how far he can jump.
  3. Don't really care how far he can jump. Can he thread the needle with a pass to a receiver while a defensive end is bearing down on him? If he can, then draft him.
  4. Mayo is nasty. All of it is nasty. That being said, if we draft him and leads us to a Superbowl victory, he can put Mayo on anything he chooses and I won't care.
  5. I have often wondered about this irt his actions. As my stepfather got older, he became harsher, used worse language, and was harsher with people, especially my mom. Aging and the various medications that old people have to take affect each of them in different ways. Would be interesting to find out if he acted that way when he was younger or got worse as he got older. Regardless, while he had to go, he helped bring football to the Carolinas, and provided me with some great memories watching the team. RIP.
  6. I still love College bball. In fact, I am going to a live game tonight. For me, its on par with the panther games as far as my interest. But I certainly understand dislike towards ESPN. IMO, they have damaged sports in many ways.
  7. I enjoy college basketball and I sometimes watch college football. So I watch the actual games on ESPN. But I avoid the sports news shows completely. And I rarely go to the website unless its to get some stats.
  8. And if he bulks up too much, it might impact his agility. Agility he might need given that in the NFL, the talent level is a lot more equal than it was at Alabama.
  9. If we do draft him, he needs to sit a year to become fully healed from the injury. Which means we would definitely need to sign a veteran.
  10. True. Also true of any other player we might draft in the early rounds.
  11. Most QB selections don't work out. Even top picks fail more often than not. Its a crap shoot, but we probably have to take a shot.
  12. The problem with that is if we want Stroud or Young, then moving up to 3 might not be enough. If the Bears get a trade partner, then we might be out of luck.
  13. Or any social media site. Excepting of course the huddle.
  14. Well, I would never say never. Have seen a lot of crazy things in the NFL. I do agree its highly unlikely that the Bears will trade fields, and if they don't, they are in the proverbial cat bird seat. They either get the top pick, or trade back for a decent haul of picks.
  15. I think Fields could become a decent to good NFL qb. With the right team and coaching staff around him. I think his odds are about as good as any of the qb's we might draft. But I don't think the Bears are going to trade him.
  16. I assume you mean recently. Larranaga has been at Miami a while. IMO, he is one of the better gametime coaches in the ACC. Just doesn't recruit as well as some of the others.
  17. Well, obviously the refs, NFL, Illuminati, wanted the Chiefs to win
  18. All that running around on second down was stupid, but it didn't matter
  19. Very good game so far. Either team could win it
  20. Can't believe anyone would complain about the officiating in this game. Its been very even. The Eagles are just playing better
  21. Other than the fumble, Hurts is having a heck of a game
  22. In Panthers history, not sure that is true. Fox hung on to Weinke for several years, and Rivera hung on to Clausen for a year or two. I think Corral will get a shot to see what he can do, but I agree the odds are against him. Although in fairness, the odds are against almost any NFL draft pick.
