I sometimes wish we could bring Cam back just to run short yardage plays. -

Second string? I think you are greatly over estimating them, at least for this game. We really miss Brady. -

There are not many plays you can call when their defensive line gets in the backfield in less than a tenth of a second. -

Wonder if we can get a fg from here. I guess its a moot point. We go for it and oline gets abused. -

Back to back scoring drives would be acceptable to me. At this point, anything positive on the offensive side is a good thing. -

Might have been Bryce's best series of the year. -

Which is why I am sometimes hesitant to take a player from a very talented college team. It works out on occassion (Stroud and Burrow for example), but more often than not, they look good because they play for Bama or Ohio State. -

Its a lot easier to look good at a school like Alabama where you almost always have more talent than the other team. They can sit behind their oline filled with five star recruits, and wait for their five star receivers to get open. Not rushed, not hurried. -

Occasionally, Bryce will make a throw that makes you think he can be an NFL qb. The pass to Tremble was perfect. But then he will follow it with some very bad throws. He is terribly inconsistent, and the horrific pass blocking doesn't help. Just have to hope he can get more consistent next year. -

Green Bay is sitting on the run because they know we can't pass. -

Completely agree, but it seemed as if they knew the play action was coming. Makes me wonder if they can read our sets and know what is coming, ala Luke K. -

I strongly disagree. You have to take a shot down the field sometimes, and second and short is the idea time. But the execution was horrific. -

Fwiw, I agree with trying to take a shot downfield on second and short, but that was some horrific blocking. Fortunately, the Packers are going to give us another shot. -
I think most of the front office has done fairly well. Its just the people that pick players and coaches that are struggling, and that is actually a relatively small part of the front office. Team presidents normally do things like arrange contracts with vendors, handle promotions and such. They don't normally get directly involved in drafting, free agent signing etc... Although that may vary from team to team and they may at least get involved in the discussion.

Saints getting pasted tonight. Good chance the NFC south winner is going to end up below 500 again.

Watching sports is supposed to be fun. It's more fun when you win. We won. That is all there is to it. -
Steelers George Pickens when asked why he didn't block Because I didn't want to get injured. Don't believe I would have said that.

Thoughts on Tabor's game management?
Davidson Deac II replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
In fairness, its the same thing we did in the win against the Texans. -
I want them to restructure the offense so that we run more of a power running attack (something our oline is designed for) and let Bryce run some play action passes. Maybe pick up a bigger stronger back to complement Chuba. Run the ball 30 times a game until we feel more comfortable working in more of the passing game. Ie take the pressure off Bryce until he and the rest of the offense, is ready.

I think Evero has done a lot with a little. The defense has kept us in most games, and did so without much of a pass rush, and with a lot of injuries. And with very little help from the offense.

Where does ESPN get their attendance information?

There were not .45 cents tickets. As with most things on social media, that was made up. They were extraordinarily cheap, but not 45 cents. -
I was making a tongue in cheek comment regarding all the game manager comments being thrown around the last few weeks. Personally, I think the game manager thing is overused. There are only a handful of truly elite quarterbacks in the NFL. The rest of them need varying degrees of talent around them. Lamar Jackson has a lot of talent, and might win it all this year, but he has needed more talent around him for a while. Trevor Lawrence is a decent qb. I foresee a Matt Ryan type of career for him. Might win a SB, might not. I did think the tank for Trevor, he is a generational talent comments rolling around in his final year at Clemson were silly. There are so few of those types of players, that the odds of any one player being at that level are fairly slim. In my 40 plus years of watching the NFL, there were only a few that make it to that level. Brady, Montana, Marino, Peyton Manning, Brees, and now Mahomes. And probably a few others I am forgetting.
