I haven't seen the best coaching or play calling either. I am skeptical that he's creative or situational. I just haven't seen any flashes. I have seen him try to get cute on occasion. For instance, why in the world would you use Miles Sanders as a third-down back and run the damned ball between the tackles. You should be letting Chuba do his thing.

Prepare your mind for Bryce's return. Dalton is bad.

"Long term solution" is a matter of definition, but that aside...I don't know that we're in a position to be skipping the opportunity to draft a franchise guy, especially when it looks increasingly like we're going to have the number one pick (shout-out to @MHS831 & @LinvilleGorge), but I will accept trading down for a haul if it's established that no QB is worth a swing. I just don't see that, but it could happen. That being said, at the end of the day, I don't see this draft as different than any other as far as QBs are concerned. We won't know who's next year's flavor of ice cream until next year. I'm not buying into name hype. I've seen too many QBs fail, and some surprises succeed. Moreover, we have to realize that playing the draft game based upon a certain year's proposed stock could mean that you're very likely to be in a position where you must trade valuable draft capital to move up. I don't like that either. If we're at one and there is someone there with great potential, we don't have to move up and we keep all of our picks. -
Canales may have been the only halfway decent coach---on paper---that would come here. I don't think that he was our first, second, third, fourth, fifth...choice.

Where he may have been fooled us the GM hire. I know that I've stated that Morgan has showed some promise, but when I see things like refusing to shop Chuba, after you drafted Brooks, I have to ask myself is he not taking something out the page of the Fitterer playbook. Everybody, but for rookies need to be up for sale, not necessarily dealt mind you, but up for discussion.

I will listen to that, but you're not gonna tell me or at least intimate (like you have before), please, that the Derek Carr's of the world will ultimately lead us to where we want to go. There is some risk in getting on that retread treadmill. -

I just don't know how a Panthers fan can see what they have seen out of Bryce this far, and out of the Red Cap Gun and tell me that we don't need to draft a QB. -
The Red Rifle is irreparably jammed. We're about to continue our Bryce experience. I guess it's just as well. It's what Tepper deserves for not ceding football control to someone like...Jim Harbaugh. , But us fans don't deserve this. Season ticket holders have invested thousands to watch shยกt. And even us rank-and-file fans have invested hundreds supporting this team over the years. Believe me, the following is just what I decided to grab because it was within a remote's throw. I have waaaaaay more junk. The team sucks, but I'm beginning to feel like a sucker. Did I mention the time that most of us have put into this team? And for those saying that we don't need to draft a QB, tell me who the hell is our QB going to be. Oh? The light is going to magically come on for Bryce, right? Who believes that? I just don't know how we can't draft a QB. I don't know how we can keep going into seasons, and even games, looking like we're getting worse. There needs to be a little hope for this fan base to remain viable. There just has to be.

I mean, I can see them scoring points in us with the players that we have out there, but why can't we score any points? What the hell happened? I think that it's bad coaching and play calling.
-
See that's the kinda poo I don't understand. Why run Sanders on third as opposed to Hubbard? It's like Canales is clueless. The play was between the tackles.

Honestly, I couldn't bring myself to play Daniels today. I played Love.

BREAKING: Miles Sanders available for trade
TD alt replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not really. As a post June 1 cut, the cap hit is only around 3 mil in 2025 and 1ยฝ mil in 2026. Someone may still take him off our hands, but if not no huge deal. -
I mean, Burns is gone and Clowney isn't in the long term plans, particularly as our main pass rusher. He's better than nothing however. We have many holes to fill, and I'm sure that the pass rush is out too priority on defense and could turn into our top priority overall depending upon how things shake out.
-
Why be like that? This is the way that it's supposed to be. Thielen and Mingo should be outta here. Young should be outta here. D.J., if we're not extending him, should be outta here. Chuba should be first or second on the list (behind Thielen), because we threw our chips in with Brooks. Trading these pieces should make our team better in 2025 due to having more picks. We need to rebuild. Plus, our young receivers need playing time. The future is not in Thielen, Mingo (unless as a second round backup) or Chuba most likely. The future may include Johnson, but we need to pay him ASAP.
-
Tmac doesn't even have to be the best receiver in this draft when all is said and done.
-
I mean, honestly, Chuba, Sanders, Thielen, Mingo, and even Johnson need to be trade bait. You should see what you could get (if anything), and act wisely from there. The only one really worth keeping at this point is DJ. The fact that Chuba isn't on the block really bothers the hell out of me. It's some Fitterer shยกt (now Morgan shยกt).

Panthers in the Market for a QB (again): 2025 Draft

If all three teams were more consistent, I'd fully agree with you. But you never know what you're going to get. -
BREAKING: Miles Sanders available for trade
TD alt replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean, I can't argue with you. I didn't want Morgan either, but I do see hints of promise, among a measure of skepticism. We'll hope for the best, as it's all that we can do. -
Panthers in the Market for a QB (again): 2025 Draft

I think that it's somewhat questionable whether we will actually get the first pick to be honest. The Pats, Jags, Titans and Raiders are going to give us a run for our money. -
BREAKING: Miles Sanders available for trade
TD alt replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fitterer was responsible for the signing. I don't know who else to blame. Honestly it all comes back to being unappreciative about Chuba. But now it's late in the game, and if I were Chuba, I'm going to the highest bidder once I hit FA. The Panthers don't know how to take their medicine. It's better to get something for Chuba now, be realistic about a pedestrian Sanders (sure, see if we can get a bite, but likely not) and cut him post June 1, provided we can't upgrade him either in the draft or FA. -
Panthers in the Market for a QB (again): 2025 Draft
TD alt replied to MHS831's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm skeptical of Sanders. I don't believe that he'd be getting as nearly as much hype if he wasn't Prime's son. I'm also skeptical about his decision making, his actual playing weight, and his actual height. He's not a big QB, and is not necessarily as naturally solid as I'd like. Yeah, I could be being affected by Bryce, but Sanders really really likes holding on to the ball too long. This isn't going to work in the big league. -

He doesn't have to be the top wr of the board. Just saying. Not saying that he won't be. Burden, Egbuka, and Bond look to be gamers as well. -
Save, Russell Wilson is traded here and balls out for the last half dozen games (all of that being highly unrealistic), if Ward is available when we pick, if I'm Morgan I'm running to the podium for Ward.

REPORT: Panthers will not trade Chuba Hubbard
TD alt replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly, we should deal him to the highest bidder, but we do things that aren't practical. If we want to keep him, we'll likely end up overpaying him. We shouldn't have drafted JB if we were going to hold on to Chuba. It just goes to show that, much like some here, they didn't really didn't appreciate what they had in Chuba. Now, in my opinion, they look kinda crazy for not investing in another position. -
Taking on Watson contract if the compensation is right
TD alt replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Because they get from under Watson. We absorb some of the cap hit. How much? Depends upon how much draft compensation that they're willing to pay. It's just a discussion. No one said it's imminent or even likely. -
You actually think, with a straight face, that we don't need a QB? Come on.
