  1. He is going to be our big nickel. I have zero doubt about that.
  2. Brandon Smith is going to be the ideal ILB for us. 6'4 240 and he has wheels while being a big boy.
  3. I’m just being playful at this point. In all honesty, whichever QB we land … I hope they crush it. I just feel Levi’s is that guy.
  4. Why spitball with the media though? Haha, does he want to make his FO look like things are out of control? He isnt gaining any leverage by stating he likes Bryce. It's fairly possible that Irsay legit wants Bryce. Also, Both Steichen and Irsay have said to media something a long the lines of "knowing we’re going to have to find a young quarterback to develop, that’s a key factor."
  5. If you watch that video from Pat, there was nothing tactical about Irsay…. It was a foot in mouth situation for sure.
  6. Jim Irsay flat out said he was a Bryce fan. So if Irsay is a Bryce fan, he HAS to trade up. You could call that a lying leak, but why not lie about a player that would potentially be available at your pick? The whole point is to make your pick more valuable in trade chats. Texans want a QB that they can put out there week 1, and out of the 3 QBs Levis is the most capable. He has played in two different pro systems and has shown he is a quick learner. He has the best tangibles of all of the QBs in the draft and Texans feel comfortable with Levis. I’m paraphrasing what was said in the podcast I was listening to above.. but they were claiming this was the mindset of the FO according to their sources.
  7. Levis isn’t going to be available past theTexans. They are infatuated with him apparently. not sure if the “they” includes Demeco or not.
  8. Burns wasn’t horrendous against the run though…. That’s a farce. He still graded out top 20 in the league against the run. It’s like we forget those multiple tackles in the backfield on 4th down run plays to cause “turnovers” … he had 3 of those this year… those are just as valuable as a sack fumble turnover.
  9. That’s a very specific scenario. Why would you want it to play out that?
  10. It’s the NFL PA’s job to do something about it. DeMaurice Smith is the one who is under the spotlight tor this. but it sounds like smith is more worried about canceling the combine. For whatever reason…..
  11. His second swing at building this franchise into a winner has shown promise.
  12. Jackson and the Ravens are reportedly $100 million apart in contract negotiations, which could result in the team franchise tagging him for 2023. King also notes that if the Ravens do tag Jackson, they may opt for the non-exclusive franchise tag, which would allow other teams to negotiate a deal with Jackson in exchange for two first-round draft picks should the Ravens not match the offer.
  13. Batted balls have nothing to do with height. There isn’t bay data that indicates that short QBs get balls batted at the line more than tall QBs.
  14. La Confora was the one who also reported that Lamar Jackson could be had for picks.
  15. Do we know the number that was thrown at Ejiro?
  16. He was the OC for the Colts during the Saturday era.
  17. Do not want. Too much information out there about him just not being an intelligent coach. He is more of an associate to Andy Reid than he is a creative mind at the OC position. Eric is struggling to leave KC for a reason. I don’t want to be the team that puts that reason out in front the nation. KC has done a helluva job hiding it.
  18. No man, the thought that a 5-6 year window of competing for a super bowl is short is the part that is baffling. Do you know how rare it is for a QB to make it through their entire second contract with a franchise? Teams dont have the same QB for 7+ years. In case you havent noticed the past two off seasons and now this upcoming ... teams moving on from QBs is extremely common. They cost too much for a franchise to maintain and acquire talent. In the last 20 years, there have been less than 15 total QBs who have played more than 7 seasons with a single team. 8 of those won a super bowl.... (Favre, WIlson, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Ben, Manning 1, and Manning 2) Outside of Ben and Brady... those super bowl wins were within their first 7 seasons of being with that franchise... never won one after.
