What would y'all think of hiring Ken Dorsey as HC next year?
rayzor replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
What? Smitty was being Smitty. Great player, but he could be a volatile ass with his teammates or even on the field. Smith hit Cam. That's Smith's fault. He's lucky it didn't go the same way it did the previous two times he assaulted a teammate. -
PSL owners are trapped. There is no resale value to them anymore. Owners are stuck with a bad investment. They try to sell, who is going to buy them? How low would they have to sell them to actually get a buyer? They are stuck and have no choice but to hold on and wait until there are better days. My condolences to the whole lot of you.

BREAKING NEWS Deshaun Watson now willing to be traded to CAROLINA
rayzor replied to Woot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Watson can't win games by himself. We aren't better than the Texans with Watson. -

No to all of them. No more friggin trades for QB or anyone else, especially if we're giving up draft picks. -
BREAKING NEWS Deshaun Watson now willing to be traded to CAROLINA

Yes. Watson might be an incredible talent but 1) he's no Cam 2) think of the cost! What will we lose by attaining him and how long will it keep Rhule around. We couldn't win a Lombard with Cam. Do any of you think we could win it with a severely handicapped team (which we would be after selling the farm to get him), a more poorly coached team, and a QB that the league would hate even more? We couldn't win with superman. Watson is no Superman. He would be a weak attempt at reliving the Superman team with a much weaker justice league led by mental midget with a Napoleon complex. Seriously, we don't want that. Superman is gone and he ain't coming back. Let's find another way. -

2 alpha males and they clashed. Literally. Smitty and Cam got into it in the locker room and had to be separated. It was well discussed after Smitty went to Baltimore. -

After Rhule.... experience matters. That's what I've learned. He doesn't have to be some relic. He doesn't have to be north of 50 or anything like that, but he has to have been around the NFL block a few times for experience and networking's sake. -

Many were. When JR was there, Cam and Jr were the two most powerful presences at the headquarters....both very much alpha males, and both very particular about the way they wanted. People walked on eggshells around both of them . Personally I liked Cam's vision much better than JRs because Cam wanted to win more than anything or anyone. He was a big goofball when things were going ok, especially early on, but if they weren't then you'd need to watch out. JR was just always in need of prunes. Cam and Smitty were not a good mix in that locker room, btw, but that's another discussion. As far as Dorsey goes, I think Cam was probably not a good first time player for Dorsey. Dorsey needed some more experience coaching QBs before trying to take on a personality like Cam. Same would be true of many big time QBs with that level dominant personality. Also, as far as Dorsey goes....he might one day be a good HC, but I think it's way too early for him. -
Sorry, but this is a dumb line to be standing on. It doesn't take a plumber or a mechanic or an accountant or even a surgeon to see when they've completely fugged up a job and left the person that hired them in a worse situation than what they started off with.

Breer on Tepper, Rhule and the Panthers quarterback options
rayzor replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Someone desperate for game tape. -
It's this iteration of the team that has lost support. People just don't care. They don't care because they can't willingly pull the wool over their eyes like "good fans" do. This team is a mess. It's run by people who don't know what they're doing and aren't learning very well or quickly. They're lost in a maze and they've shot themselves in the foot several times, leaving and are flailing around trying to find their way out on two bad feet. There is little reason to believe this team can get out of this hole under current management and it's painful to watch. Worse, Tepper seems to be ok letting the lost guy with the gun in charge stay in charge while he keeps clumsily pointing the gun at their heart and he's getting ready to pull the trigger again. Wisdom would say, quit giving Barney a bullet. Take the gun away. Or just fire him because he's incompetent.
-
Awesome. People deciding who is or isn't a fan again based on whether or not they are disappointed with the direction this team is going, because they disapprove of the leadership of this team, and seeing that we are on a losing trajectory..... again? Piss off.

Please, for the love of all that is good and beautiful in this world......no more fuggin trades!!!! Not from this clown show. Please....no more.

Now is not the time to swing for the fences or take a gamble. Now is the time to play it safe. Except Rhule has to do something big and someone in a desperate position won't want to put their fate in anyone else's hands.... even though the reason that person is desperate is because they acted rashly. So pretty much the panthers are screwed.

Cousins/JimmyG makes a lot of sense for Rhule (not the Panthers)
rayzor replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's what this so called team has earned through the incompetent leadership in place. -
Not a trubisky fan, but agreed with the plan. Get a cheap vet FA as QB and build that OL, getting it ready for a real coach to put together a team.
-
Kenny Pickett will be a starter here with Rhule and then a career backup after Tepper gets his head out of his ass and finally fires Rhule.
-
This team is a joke. It's a lesson on how to buy and f*ck up an NFL franchise and lose fans. Tepper can learn and get better, but it's gonna take time.... apparently. This is not a good time to be emotionally invested in this team. See it for the joke it is and find something else to care about. Let this team just be a curiosity until Tepper gets his head out of his ass and remembers his brass balls on his desk and fires Rhule and hires some that has a clue.

Panthers have reached out to Minnesota for Kirk Cousins
rayzor replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
What's going to be dumb is when Rhule gets fired the new coach is going to be wanting his guy....and we'll be stuck without a first round pick for him because we fuggin traded it away for one of these other guys....and we still won't have an OL.
