Honestly, if I was a player that had been around for a while and in was more interested in just playing without doing to much work to prove myself, I'd want to play for Ron. Vets have it easy playing for him.

Yeah he'll be in Washington or Buffalo. Probably with Rivera.
-
Good luck to him, where ever he lands....it won't be here.

CBS Sports Draft Class Rankings (Panthers #1)
rayzor replied to XClown1986's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's what I was thinking. Didn't they give us a C-? -
Just pointing this out..... Atlanta is close to home, too.

if he's affordable and we've got the cash, why not? still would prefer we focus on getting some beef in the middle of the DL to help shut down run games.

don't forget O Brother, Where Art Thou.

What are the biggest weakenesses on offense and defense?
rayzor replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Offense: QB and OL (hopefully this is better now). Follow that up with TE. Defense: Run D (have we done anything to fix that?) -
i came in hoping for answers. I left adding a question mark to the title.

yeah, to be that spot on...you kind of start doubting that they know something, at least Charlie does.

It was bedtime. No caffeine. So who has the lack of confidence?
-
Wait, who are you talking about? Corral or Sammy?
-
Based on what? Self confidence in what areas?
-
He might be that way in interviews, but from what I've heard about him with his team he's everything you want him to be.

What if Rhule turns out to be a really good just being a coach?
rayzor replied to Fan01's topic in Carolina Panthers
Nope. Maybe watch and listen and learn, but when he tries to do his coach's jobs, he's failed. The best thing he can do for the team is nothing. Just let his coaches do their job. Stay out of the way. -
You should be nicer.

The "Way-too-early" 2022 Drafts from 2021 (It's not what you think/QBs)
rayzor replied to davos's topic in Carolina Panthers
i'm just happy to have options and a good OL coach and a good OC. -

I'm hoping that between BC and Corbett we may have found the OGs who will have us set there for years, but really i'd be happy with any combo that will have us set with starters long term and secure with depth that can be counted on. -

He was always one of my favorites to watch in training camp because you never knew when he was going to be getting into a fight. you could count on at least one each year. but on the OL, you knew he wasn't going to be a starter, but you also knew that as long as he was there, if there was an injury on the OL that he'd be able to step in and do well. Didn't matter what position, really. He could play them all. -

definitely looks like he could be a steal. not necessarily a starter, but as a guy who can be put in to give guys a breather or fill in due to injuries he could be a key cog. we've been needing a Geoff Hangartner guy who can do it all. hopefully Mays is that. -
i wouldn't hate it if we could find some way to unload sammy and esp. his contract. it would be good to have a derek anderson type "older brother" for MC like DA was for Cam and if we can't get Cam to do it, Foles would be fine enough.

Probably so. He should never have been given them. I'm hoping that the loss of control on the GM side of things also extends to the coaching side of things. with such an experienced and good group of coaches working with him now, he really needs to keep his hands in his pockets, mouth shut, eyes and ears opened. let the coaches used to not just working within the league, but used to handling grown ups do what they are experienced and proven at and just learn from them on how to be a good coach at the pro level. it takes a lot more than a fishing trip with a retired coach to learn how to do the job at this level.
