Twitter is getting the BANT stick all over the NFL

Seems teams are banning players from Tweeteringing (wtfever it is) while at camp.

SOME are going so far as to ban Media from Tweeterianing as well.

ESPN is cracking down on their reporters tweeting opinions.

Adam_Schefter Giants were ultra Twitter friendly. Others? Not so much. Nine teams have banned practice tweets: Atl, Buf, Cin, Ind, KC, NE, NO, StL, Sea

Adam_Schefter Add Detroit to list of NFL teams that ban media from twittering from practice. That's 10 teams all together. That's unnecessary something.

It's very interesting to see how this will play out.

While it's only 120 letters or so, some decent info can flow out of camp.

Look how fast Kemo's injury was announced.

If a team wanted to keep something under wraps, it would be next to impossible right now.

I thought that there was an NFL edict stating no live blogging from practices? Wouldn't Tweeting seem to follow that policy? I do think it was silly of SD to fine Cromartie for whining about the food. I would fine guys for putting out injury type info other than what was publicly released by the team or talking about team policies or such (be it blog or twitter), but not something petty like that.

Maybe it will work to a teams advantage as we progress. John Fox can come up with some disinformation about smith or Peppers being hurt and then Bam! They are on the field for the game. the FF people would hate this though.

Probably an intern doing searches for Pats realted stuff on Twitter.

#pats

# brady

# foxboro

and poo like that.

Yeah they don't need video dudes anymore. Gotta find something for those peeps to do! :P

To Inimicus: Pats routinely limit reporters access to their practices in preseason and reg season. They are famous for allowing reporters to see only lame chit like stretching as their allotted portion.

That's cheating!

j/k

I think they can ban players from tweeting during working hours (practices, meetings) and discussing actual team news.

But they can't ban reporters from tweeting (except during live games I think.)

    • Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.
    • I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
    • I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
