Greg Hardy Arrested

Recommended Posts

Right, because a rich athlete with a long history of stupidity and immaturity has never gotten drunk and put his hands on a woman.

Being stupid and/or immature does not automatically make someone a future wife beater.  The point is that the stories don't match and something smells fishy.  I don't give a poo if Nicki is your friend.  This is how I feel about it and until more facts come out I'm not going to crucify Hardy.

Nicki is covered in bruises and Hardy called the police and told them they were restraining her.

How many facts do you need? Sounds like you're just waiting for anything to exonerate a football player.

I said it before and I'll say it again.  If he hit her, he should go to jail.  If she went bat poo crazy and got bruised because she was being restrained and wouldn't calm down, that's a different story.  Sorry if you disagree.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it...

Hardy will not play another snap in a Panthers uniform if any of the allegations are found to be true.

Jerry Richardson will tell Dave to get rid of him. Big Cat has stayed quiet and allowed Dave and Ron to run the team without interfering, but he won't let this go. He'll make sure Hardy is cut or traded. Hell, he'd probably pay him 13.1mil and tell him to stay away for a the year if nothing else.

If any of it is true, Hardy is gone.

yep.

I agree 100%.  A message will be sent to the team that no matter who you are this off the field poo behavior will not be tolerated.

Yeah...that was not planned well.....looks scary as hell walking out too....24 hour cool off may not have been enough....

Yes, you would think his attorney or Rosenhaus could've brought him a polo or something to look a little less 'brutish'.

If she went bat poo crazy....Hardy should have ran away...not restrained her.  I do not understand why these guys can not get this through their heads....they have tons of people coaching them on how to respond to this situation.

Hardy has NO right to touch the woman unless she is threatening deadly force and he has no other choice.  Deadly force would be a knife or gun and blocking him from the door leaving him no other choice but to defend himself.

Unless she was attacking him with a knife or gun he still had no damn business putting his hands on her.

Good thing it was at Hardy's house and not somewhere else. Letting someone walk in and see you physically restraining a screaming woman 1/3 of your size is a good way to get shot.

    • So happy that LaMelo got the layup to go and *won* the game. How happy he was after the game, that's what a young dude like him needs to keep it going and keep the belief going. If we lose, LaMelo gets blamed, and he's got an offseason to be in his head and hear the noise like the last few years. The season might still have an ugly ending, but weirdly feels like last night was HUGE for this team moving forward.
    • My thoughts on Carolina's post-season run: Obviously, the season began with a below average Freddie Andersen and everyone hoping Kochetkov would pick up the slack, until he got hurt. Enter Brandon Bussi who had a made-for-TV movie type run until the end of the season, when he came crashing back to earth, his save % drops under .900 and the team needs to score 5-6 goals to win games. Freddie has shown signs of a resurgence and Bussi looked pretty good the last 2 games of the season, but both sample sizes are small and questions abound for all 3 goalies. The physicality of playoff hockey will take its toll. Save for a few players, the Canes best players are small, their top 2 lines are small and there's no getting around that. The only way to protect the size disadvantage is a strong forecheck. Allowing opposing teams to establish the offensive zone and create board battles with smaller players will hurt Carolina. The Stankoven line could be a difference-maker. If they continue to play well against lower defensive pairs, it only adds to the depth of the team.  The Aho line had stretches of absenteeism during the season. The Canes cannot afford to have them dry up offensively and leave the scoring to Ehlers and the Stankoven line. If they aren't performing well, teams will simply roll their best lines out on the Canes best playing lines.  If the Canes can get by Ottawa and get some help from Boston against Buffalo, I think they have a legit shot to make the finals. Make no mistake, I think their toughest challenges are Ottawa and Buffalo in the East.
