Hornets Interested In Ennis and Hairston

Recommended Posts

Alex Kennedy: Tyler Ennis has met with the Charlotte Bobcats, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets. Twitter @AlexKennedyNBA

Rick Bonnell: P.J. Hairston tells me the Bobcats have expressed interest in him. Seems like a viable option at No. 24. Twitter @rick_bonnell

The Syracuse point guard could possibly be an option for the Hornets if they land the pick from Detroit this year at number nine. Last year for Syracuse, Ennis averaged 12.9 points per game (on 41% shooting), 5.5 assists per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and 2.1 steals per game; Ennis also shot 35% from the three point line. Ennis is currently going 12th to the Orlando Magic in Draft Expresses mock draft.

P.J. Hairston seems to be the overwhelmingly favorite choice among posters on here and it's easy to see why, Hairston can put the ball in the basket and models his game after NBA Star James Harden. Last year with the Texas Legends of the NBADL, Hairston averaged 21.8 points per game (on 45% shooting), 3.5 rebounds per game, 1.5 steals per game, and he shot 35% from the three point land. Hairston is currently slotted at 24th (Charlotte Hornets) in Draft Expresses latest draft. Hairston had a couple really impressive 40 point games in the NBADL this year.

Would jizz!!!!!!!

#Ennis

I'm telling you guys, I would not be surprise to see MJ/Cho trade away the fan favorite Kemba Walker; i.e. Jrue Holiday/Philly.

Jrue was traded due to a circumstance called tearing sh*t up and starting from scratch.

Kemba is currently the only point guard on the roster and as Clifford has stated before, he doesn't go into the season without three point guards. I would be incredibly surprised if the Hornets overhauled the point guard group.

I think checking out Ennis is more of us just doing our due diligence, that way if we get Detroit's pick and he's the best player available we know what we are getting.

Having two good point guards on two sweet-heart contracts is something that can't be undervalued.

Why the fug would we trade away Kemba Walker? Some of you just want us to trade for the sake of trading. I would quit supporting this team if they already decided to trade Kemba Walker for some bullshit reason. He's way too young and talented

Perhaps Rick is waiting until after the season to start referring to our team as the Hornets, but I'd like to see him go ahead and make the change or, in the alternative, simply use "Charlotte."

    • I'd love to have Eli as our QB. He was a proven baller in the playoffs, and still a legit franchise QB who was better than the majority of the league in the regular season. Honestly the Giants didn't build many great teams around him. Put him in a beneficial situation like Belichick, Reid, Tomlin, etc. run and he could've won more than 2 SBs if you ask me. He was on a lot of bad teams, like really bad teams, throughout his career.   Hell, swap him in for Rivers in the mid-late aughts and I bet he gets the Chargers a SB. Still think that whole draft situation was bullshit and lost respect for Eli there, but whatever.
    • Yeah but if you are talking about something like an extremely rarely used or needed play like a QB sneak, it's already a pretty off the rails argument. That doesn't factor in enough to W's and L's to be something that is particularly relevant.  If you want to talk overall arm strength, field vision, footwork, consistency, athleticism, etc on Bryce, those are all valid critiques of his game and why he hasn't been successful. But the oddball obsessions about pretty meaningless aspects are a bit bizarre. QB sneaks? Not enough 40+ yard passes? Workout regimen?? Guys....there is ample stuff to criticize without this kind of nonsense.
    • Im not saying he should, but its one more play that's off the table. Do you think the eagles would be as good without the QB sneak?
