Hey, knock yourselves out. Just don't bitch when it ends badly for us.

You truly believe an athlete being on the cover of a videogame has a real life effect on either their personal or team performance?

If so, please tell me you haven't found someone equally as stupid to breed with. The thought of someone with such a slim grasp on reality procreating genuinely makes me weep for the future.

First of all, Madden is a crappy product, plain and simple.  It's become a lazy, capitalistic, money grab and anybody who still buys Madden is a moron.  Honestly if it were still a good game, I'd be willing to go along with having a Panther on the cover.  But as it is, I don't want a Panther on the cover just on principle.

The fact that every cover athlete has something bad happen to them or their team is actually secondary.

If you don't want a Panthers player on the cover because you believe it to be an inferior product, I can respect that and apologize.

If people don't want Cam on because of a curse, those people are idiots.

I absolutely understand if people are pushed away by the "curse".  That's not my primary reason for not wanting a Panther on the cover, but it doesn't help.

So has the NFL.

Look at Cams instagram. The guy posts the endings to his madden games every day it seems. He loves playing madden. He wants to be on the cover so we are supporting it.

Madden does suck though. Ever since they were deemed the only game that can have NFL teams.

Am I supposed to never play with the panthers again? What if I love kicking tail with Cam Newton? I'd rather play a crappy game with the panthers than no game at all

    • One thing I didn’t consider is how thin this draft is at quarterback. That’s going to drive up the market for backups and borderline starters like Willis, Jones, and Jameis Winston. Because of that, we’ll most likely be priced out of the market for this tier of backup.
    • We've already beat the #1 seed twice, why not one more? (Packers and Rams were both #1 seed at the time we played)
    • My determination has come down to this. Based on recent QB history, has Bryce's improvement warranted 50m per season? Lamar is the only original team QB to play on his 5th year. The others took major deals at the end of the 3rd, before or just after the option was signed. Chances are, we're getting asked for the same.  I haven't rooted for Bryce to fail. I've rooted for him to succeed so big that them signing that extension would give me no worries about our future at QB at all. We haven't seen that level of play consistently that this year. We haven't seen it in the past 6 games.  We're about to be at a threshold with Bryce and I worry about what this front office will do. We have a history of bad decision making and Morgan has been part of that group making those decisions. I don't want Carolina in the same boat Arizona and Miami are right now. It has nothing to with being right. It has to do with wanting to win for more than a single season. We've never had back to back winning seasons. Faith in their abilities is not warranted at this point.
