Shocking!

You're a teenager living in Texas. You know nothing of the Charlotte Hornets. Hell, I'm 34 & I barely remember.

I actually play basketball and i am a student of the game, I would like to work in sports when I'm older so I know a lot about the history of the NBA, especially for one of my home teams. Also I was born in North Carolina and lived there up until 2 years ago, and will be moving back there after next year to attend unc chapel hill.

You were what, 5 when the Hornets left? You weren't even born when the Hornets were last popular. Just stop.

Why are you even here? Quit shitting up the forum, this guy can post whatever he wants.

Take your own advice, numb nuts.

Yeah, I remember 2002. The Hornets were as irrelevant as the Bobcats. Nobody cared when they left. When they were relevant and the Hornets everyone is taking about? That was '88 to '96 or so. Yeah, I remember that as a kid but barely.

Hornets were IT when I was little. They were loved in the 80s & early 90s. But once the Panthers came along & made the NFCCG their 2nd season & Shinn's antics began surfacing nobody gave a poo about the Hornets.

Hell I'm only 21 and I remember going to the coliseum to see Baron Davis, David Wesley, P.J. Brown, Jamal Mashburn, and Elden Campbell.

Yeah, so do I. Nobody gave a poo about those teams. Baron was a super exciting player back then but the team's popularity was plummeting & the city bad mother them right out of town.

Muggsy, LJ, Zo years are what everyone is taking about. That poo was over 20 years ago.

34 years old and spends his days creating endless accounts on a message board where he isn't wanted.

Makes sense now.

You spend all day trolling this board for arguments.

That malaise in the fan base was really only the last year at the most.

    • Yeah. That start to his career was about as bad as it can get. In New York, Meat grinder press corps, of the first degree,    When he came here he was on OC 3 - in year 3.  And people in this fan base that think they are smart, could not take that stuff into account.  Now, most of the smart ones are not Bryce Stans but Bryce gets 4 damned years free pass. At least 3  The fail of the organization AND fan base in general, fuging shamefully short sighted,  And the choking thing, players have to fail before they succeed. With very few exceptions. Last year was really his first meaningful, high stakes game. Okay, he didn’t play well. They learn from that, or are supposed to. You don’t throw out a guy with all those tools and with his rocky did him no favors background for not being perfect right away.  He might suck in the SB, but he proved a ton this year.    If we’d have had any patience he was the guy to use it on, not Bryce Young.
    • Darnolds OC when he was drafted was Jeremy Bates who was fired. He hasn’t had an nfl job since then. his next head coach was Adam gates who was fired after two years and isn’t in the league anymore. then he gets traded to the Matt Rhule panthers. His first OC was a hired WAY too early Joe Brady who was fired midseason and basically had to restart his career as a get back coach in Buffalo. then it was Jeff Nixon, who’s currently the head coach for Syracuse. the next season was the best he’d ever looked, and it was the first time he had an actual nfl offensive coordinator calling plays for him. The less said about Matt Rhule the better. then he sits a year and ends up in Minnesota and the rest is history. maybe he just had poo awful coaches for the start of his career. Maybe we should be trying to find someone who flamed out on the jets. one who’s a religious weirdo  and likes to bang married women  that’s right baby, Zach Wilson redemption tour starts now
    • Your last paragraph, painful. We suffered it all with Rhule and Fitterer and were rewarded with Bryce.  I’ll stop there, I have made hundreds of posts that say what I would say if I continued. 😂
