MMQB Ranks the running Qbs.

How the hell is Luck a running QB? They just take any opportunity to slob his knob...I mean, he's good, but damn.

He had to add a white guy so as to appear unbiased. "Running QB" is the new term for black QB.

He's comparing a quarterback who had as he states 2 designed runs (0 successful) to other quarterback's with 37-59 designed runs.

Why is Luck even in this article?

Not just that.

But I'm wondering if we should be insulted about a "Running QB" article/separation to begin with?

The problem with his his "good decisions" to run is that he said they made the decision only after a play broke down, not if he abandoned a working play.

I'm sure there are times when Cam gets to the line of scrimmage and says, this is going to open up for me to make a run, and once the play starts and he sees that happening, he just takes off knowing he's going to make a solid play, hence his high percentage in his scrambles being successful.

Yeah, they're actually criticizing him for recognizing opportunity on the field?

The article even concedes that most of Newton's "incorrect" scrambles were postive plays and resulted in some of his best runs.

All that tells me is that Newton has more faith in his ability to make plays than he does his receivers, which was probably true last year.

I'm a bit confused by this.

I've always seen Newton make excellent run decisions since he came in the NFL (note I said "decision" not called run plays).

How can you criticize his broken field running, and his ability to avoid hits by saying he doesn't slide??

Nonsense.

The argument is there was an opportunity to throw the that he didn't take. I would argue that Cam's ability to run the ball is so good that often in those situations running is the better option.

Yeah, but I think that's a perception thing with them (when you think someones a "running QB" as opposed to to a decent passer).

Remember, Cam threw for 8000 yards his first two seasons. The guy has experience throwing he ball in all circumstances.

As I said previously: Cam is usually noted for making excellent decisions and running when he has/needs to, and/or there's a huge hole (as you may be stating), gaining big yardage.

This is just laughable. The Luck love affair with the media is too crazy. It has even influenced journalists in other countries.

I was watching The AFC divisional Indy vs Pats on a danish tv-station and one of the commentators was literally slobbing Lucks knob all game. Even after he threw his 4th pick, he could not stop talking about how impressive Luck was...

I know Mr. scot probably will come to his defense in a minute, but i seriously cant see what the deal with this guy is.

Who wants to bet he sat in the film room watching luck's tape 80% of the time

Sent from my SM-G900P using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

Well,  about 20 seconds of Luck's film...  then a break,  then another 20 seconds of Luck's film a little bit later.

We all have some screwed up thoughts sometimes during the fapping process.    This guy just remembered his and wrote an article afterward.

    • He talks way too much about his time in Seattle and Russell Wilson and how they built that team in 2012.   I won’t fall for any of it until I see them play for a year
    • Lol people like you are so silly and the only reason I seem to care to log on to post these days. How can you sit there and say Bryce was the reason Williams hurt his knee on that play. Maybe it's because you dislike Bryce so you are somewhat blind as to what actually happened? Not quite sure but maybe you should get your eyes checked. Williams hurt himself by trying to make a cut after spinning around to make that catch. Pause it at 3:24. Had he landed and ran like normal instead of going to plant his foot in the ground and make a cut he doesn't get hurt. Don't put that on Bryce. That was 100% Williams fault he got injured
