The Big Four?!?!

Recommended Posts

No way this happens bc all their money would be tied up into 4 players. They wouldn't be able to play anything for the remaining players to fill out the roster.

Wade's knees won't hold up so one of them will be going after one last big payday.

If everyone takes $15 mil they could make it happen.

Yep, and they could take a couple midlevel exceptions and draft picks.

I agree.  fug the NBA if this happens.  It is already rigged for the heat.

This is going to be a big problem for Silver, but I don't see what he can do about it.

I was hoping that the Big 3 in Miami would not be successful, so that others wouldn't try to replicate it.

The NBA needs to switch to a hard cap.

The no tax thing in Florida helps out (Texas as well).

This rumor has been out for probably a year now. Simmons and Jalen talked about it once upon a time I know, so not sure why it's just now getting out. It's still doubtful IMO...but if Carmelo leaves NY, it's for Miami or Chicago with the Heat being the favorite.

    • I want to laugh and hope it’s a joke but somehow I believe this to be true.
    • Eh. Ultimately they got abused badly when they faced a more stout contender in the Ravens last year. I watched that one and while they have made improvements to that roster it's still a work in progress. And ultimately they are an injury or two away from tough predicaments like any other team. And they have dealt with that along the way. And let's consider that for a moment. For so long now we've used injuries or lack of depth as an  excuse for bad football. But there are other teams out there that while they might stumble a bit they don't utimately fall down a flight of stairs to the cellar because of it. Our Panthers however? Well you know.
    • I don’t think anyone thinks Perkins can  play with the first unit and succeed.  Everyone pointing out the fact he looks better than Plummer with only two practices.    I was really pulling for Plummer to figure it out and take Dalton’s spot at QB2. Oh well, there was a reason they brought in Perkins.
