Someone post the link to Sheridan's updated story...  But, he's saying the reason for the meeting with Riley yesterday was to give Riley a chance to try to dissuade Bron from returning to the Cavs, but his decision was final.

I love it.  As I've stated a million times, no player exceeds my fandom for my home teams.  My home teams come first no matter what...  If anyone or any team interferes with our success, then F THEM.  So, a part of me is really happy because it breaks up the Big 3, and even the years we sucked, I just had a hard time pulling for them to win it because of the circumstances surrounding that team...  And I was a fan of each of the big three as individual players, but them playing together, and then us, as a franchise, subsequently getting the poo beat out of us for the last four years because of their combined star power pissed me off.

I'm glad they're breaking up and going their separate ways.  It's good for our franchise, and as I've said elsewhere, if we can't win it all, I can definitely pull for LeBron to do it, WITH LESS STAR POWER AND GLAMOUR, in his homestate of Ohio.

Wonder what Wade does? Does he go back to Miami with a depleted team or go to the Bulls/who ever else lost out on the Melo/LeBron sweepstakes

He'd cost too much and he's on the wrong side of his career but he'd be a good mentor for PJ

Good catch Chaos.  I was in the middle of talking to someone at work as I typed that.  LOL.  College is paying off.

I have a feeling your post calling me out will mysteriously disappear after a brief edit.

I think D-Wade to the Bulls is a great idea, gets him close to home as well.  Bosh being the native Texan would make for a homecoming trifecta if he chooses Houston.  Deplete the Heat and the fuging Southeast division can be OURS!!1!!!

Sheridan is throwing up speculation as fact to get hits to his website and look like a genius if the story breaks that way.

If only LeBron scheduled a specific time and place where he would make his announcement. Maybe put it on television because alot of people are curious...

    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
