Ashley Fox - Hardy Situation Trumps Others

Hardy beat Nicole Holder in his Charlotte apartment and then called 911 in an attempt to cover up what he had done.

Having one of your star players found guilty of putting his hands on a woman is not a good look.

LOL this bitch... i know its ashley fox and ESPN but saying "not a good look" as a journalist is tantamount to someone in an article saying someone is 'finna go off". She apparently just wants to skip the whole Due Process part of the constitution and go strait for the juggular b/c domestic violence. Not trying to trivialize DV but she glossed over every glaring flaw of the 'victim' and focused soley on Hardy and spoke like all the facts were cleared up.

Anyways, just look at the comments and have a laugh.

At least the comments section is lighting her up.  Not only is her ignorance completely ignoring that it was basically a screener trial to let it go to the real stage, but she COMPLETELY misrepresents the facts when she says "the judge's ruling states Hardy beat her".  Amazing she has a career doing this stuff.

Yeah but every fuging moron in the comments is saying "HE WAS PROVEN GUILTY, DUH" "CAN YOU READ HE WAS RULED GUILTY BY THE JUDGE" etc. Nobody in that comments section actually realizes that that outcome doesn't matter one bit, since he is appealing to Superior Court, where he'll get a jury. The ONLY thing that will matter in the eyes of the law, is what the jury rules. fuging retards in the comments section god damn.

Ahhhh carry on. He did it though. Its obv

How is it obvious? Were you there? Cocaine and alcohol can create some wild hallucinations to the brain (which is what the girl was on). Not saying hardy is innocent, but I think I am going to wait until everything is clear before assuming anything.

    • Also, just for clarity, is this thread meant for general discussion of Bryce Young, or discussion of General Bryce Young?
    • The word I feel most comfortable using as a descriptor is "inconsistent". Haven't really seen anyone disagree with that. Consistency being one of the things I value most in a player, that makes me lean toward moving on. But he does still have both time and opportunity to prove otherwise. Mind you, having a streaky quarterback isn't exactly a new thing in Charlotte (you could argue it's been the norm). Delhomme was notorious for starting slow but finishing strong. He could sadly also find hos way into ruts that were difficult to crawl out of. Newton, on the other hand, was often known to start hot but fade late (the vast majority of the 2015 season followed that pattern) though it could be argued that was a team pattern as much as it was Cam's.  There are definitely some fans for whom this is always going to be a bridge too far. (or too short) Realistically, it's not impossible that he could still have a good career even with those issues. It's a damn sight more difficult, though. And arguably, less likely.
    • Oh, I did, and they weren't based in emotions either. Granted, characterizing them that way gives you an easy out to avoid responding to them. Similar tactic to dismissing the other guy's points with "nah, you didn't really watch the games" which saves you having to debate what he said. Strikes me as a kinda lazy way to go, but hey both elements are still back there if you feel up to trying later.
