How do I know? Well, lets just say it is an educated guess. Good shooter who isnt afraid to let his shot fire a ton a game. You do the math. Not even mentioning he has had a per or ppg of around 20 every year prior. Dude is a scorer plain and simple. 

 

How can a prediction be pawned off as a statistical fact? lol That is impossible.  Ever considered you just take or misread someones opinion as a statistical fact? 

 

It's not even worth arguing with you because you lack the ability to think objectively, yet for some reason I keep trying to make you understand.  It's exhausting.

 

The fact is, you DON'T "KNOW" that PJ is going to score 15-20 ppg.  Nobody to my knowledge has the ability to see into the future, and PJ hasn't played a single NBA game yet.  I will accept your explanation that it is an educated guess, if you'll back off on your conclusive statements that "PJ should start because he'll get you 15-20 ppg" because frankly, you don't know that.  To this point in PJ's career, we have seen him play well in the ACC, the D-League, and relatively well in the NBA Summer League.  Success in those 3 leagues absolutely does not guarantee success in the NBA, as the level of the competition in the NBA DWARFES those other 3. 

 

Fact is, PJ had moments of brilliance in the summer league, but he also missed a LOT of shots.  He jacked up shots like his life depended on it.  Maybe it's because he felt he needed to carry the team, but that won't be the case during the regular season.  Al & Lance (and sometimes Kemba) will likely carry the scoring load for this team.  Clifford will not allow PJ to take 25 shots a game. 

 

Like I keep saying... I am rooting for PJ!  I really want him to be a solid contributor to this team, but when you've got guys like SuperJ saying things like "He was the best player in the draft" and you're telling me that he's an automatic 15-20ppg player before he even laces it up one time makes it VERY difficult to take anything you say seriously.  Show a little less homerism, and a little more objectivism...it'll add to your credibility.

You still do not understand how to recognize when someone is speaking an opinion and when someone is speaking a fact. Facts are stuff we can measure and see with our eyes. Opinions are not. 

 

When I said PJ would average 15-20ppg that is an opinion as PJ has yet to play in the NBA. Why do I think this? Well PJ if given good minutes will more than likely put up a good amount of shots (Al's double teams, Lance and Kemba kickouts etc). For someone of PJ's shooting ability, 15ppg on a good amount of shots is not very hard. 

 

Now the best player in the draft comment is a bit of a stretch, I am not sure how anyone can rationalize that. Maybe best SG in the draft but def not best player. 

 

Learn to differentiate between opinions and facts and it will add to your credibility. 

 

And p.s. It will not always be obvious as many posters write opinions in ways that at first glance can appear factish. Use your brain and ask yourself is this measurable or can be proven NOW. If the answer is no than it is an opinion.

Noah doesn't want to play the 4, thinks of himself as a 3. He didn't like playing the 4/5 in summer league at all.

When he grows into the 4 and puts some weight on he will like it alot more.

Multiple double digit rebounds don't suggest that he "hated" it.

      I was watching a YouTube and it was said that scout and GM insider types were saying the NIL had killed rounds 4-7. I don’t know that I buy it, seems like it might for a year or maybe two but then those guys have to move on.  NCAA is apparently about to give 5 years of eligibility. It is gonna skew those entrants older maybe.

      Miller being less raw and more pro ready makes sense of why they picked him. With us having a capable starter in Walker the lower floor higher ceiling player makes sense for us as well. I agree with that.

      I'm from Michigan and have had this discussion with my Lions friends, and they all agree with me, they were never going to take Freeling over Miller.  As, yes, you are correct, they could have left Sewell at RT and taken Freeling, but they are in a SB contention window right now. An OL with Freeling at LT and Sewell at RT is not as strong as Sewell at LT and Miller at RT would be for this upcoming season and likely at least next year as well. 5 years it could be looked back upon as a long term "mistake" to take Miller over Freeling, but for a franchise like the Lions, you can't worry about the long term when you have current SB aspirations.  It's all about maximizing their current SB window over the next 1-3 years. And it's not about style, it's about day 1 readiness, and a lot of "experts" aren't even sure if Freeling is ready to play Week 1 yet at the position he's used to, let alone switching to a side he hasn't played before, but a career starting RT is going to be more than ready to fill that role for them Week 1. I'm 100% convinced that if our draft positioning was swapped, we'd have still taken Freeling, they'd have still taken Miller, and both teams would have got the OT that they preferred due to what each team needs right now and what their current realistic aspirations are for the 2026 season. We're in a position where we can let our drafted OT sit and learn for a bit, they needed a week 1 starter, for me that's where this discussion becomes very easy to understand why each team took the player they did.
