The Wolves can roll out...

PG - Rubio

SG - Lavine

SF - Wiggins

PF - Thad Young

C - Pekovic

Actually some nice potential there to build on. Still not a playoff team in the West IMO, but all sides came away winners from this it seems.

I still cannot get over how miserable LaVine acted when his name was called. Maybe he'll grow on me, and maybe he'll be happier to be playing alongside Wiggins, but no matter what BS excuse he comes up with about "being overwhelmed" and how he wasn't "unhappy about going there" I'm not buying it. I like this team but right now I can't cheer for LaVine.

Yeah he may be happier now that they have Wiggins...but that look was one from a dude PISSED he was going to Minny, and who couldn't wait until his contract was up.

I don't get it honestly. If you enter the draft, especially as an early entry, you better be cool to go ANYWHERE. and if not, at least know how to act like you're cool with it when they call your name on a national broadcast.

So basically Minnesota got two potentially good players and a pick for one star player. 3 for 1 which could be a steal for the T'wolves.

Wiggins may take time to develop but should be at least starter material.

I know Bennet had a horrible rookie season but he lost over 20 pounds and has looked great in the summer league. I predict he will improve greatly this year.

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
