Interesting point made on radio.

I had to listen to part of the game on the radio and they brought up the fact that the Patriots have merged practices with the Redskins and some other team that I can't think of right now but the point was that they may be more poilshed due to the fact they are practicing against another NFL team and not themselves.

Lafell also said after he was signed by the Patriots that there training camp was much more strenious than Rivera's.

I think that it would have a tremendous effect on the team if they had merged practices since it would replicate game speed more so than playing against your own team. Just a thought.....

Or. . .it's preseason.

To be fair, Zod did tell us, and has said many times, that our practices have been fairly loose and relaxed lately, and even attributed that to the slow starts we've had in the past.

Also, I've wondered why we don't practice with another NFL team. Seems odd that a lot of other teams are doing (hell, even the Falcons did it with the Titans randomly and with the Texans a few days before their preseason game).

they did joint practices with/against the two teams they played this preseason before us. I like the idea and think we should look into it for the future. They were one of three teams to do joint practices twice this preseason (along with Falcons and Texans) and one of the 13 total NFL teams that did joint practices this preseason

here are articles arguing why such joint practices are a plus:
