week 4 standouts

Ameer Abdullah, RB Nebraska. 5'9 210 running back, that runs with great balance and leverage. press the hole, and explodes through it, running with bad intentions. has decent speed, and breaks tackles regularly. complete back, can pass block and catch out the backfield.love his game, and if he is there in the 2nd, someone would be getting a steal in this guy. hopefully the panthers will look at him.

Amari Cooper, WR Bama. 6'1 210. best WR in college football. wins from the outside flanker, and in the slot. scouts think he is one of the best players besides Gurly that will enter the draft.went vs one of the better CBs last saturday and had his best game as a college player.got inside leverage on a slant route, ball was high, and he attacked it with his hands for a 10 yard gain. had 3 TDs and 2 were very difficult catches. hard to press because he has very good feet, and speed, but strength as well. Kiffin has put this guy on a whole mother level, and he is taken advantage like he should. top 3 talent.

Eddie Goldman, DT FSU. 6'3 315. huge DT that got better as the game went on.played mostly at a 1 or 0 technique, and displayed great power. was blowing up plays from that spot, and was very disruptive during the game. did get away with an offsides, but allowed other DL and LBs to make plays.

edit: can't believe i forgot to mention this guy. Landon Collins. 6'0 222. has the ability to play both safety spots, and play coverage over the slot. very good in coverage, but has the ability to play in the box and help out in run support. hardly caught out of position, and is just an all around good football player. he has the thumper of a Mark Barron, mixed with the single high safety ability of a HaHa Clinton-Dix. great hips, good hands, aggressive style, great awareness, this guy is the best safety prospect since Earl Thomas. he is on my short list for the panthers, but should be a really high pick.

on one play while playing the single high safety role, he made a pbu on the slot defender that got vertical on the DB covering him. he beat the slot guy to the ball, attacking at its high point, but batted the ball down twice on one play so the WR could not make some crazy catch. this played showed off his athleticism and awareness as a safety. this type of safety will do nothing but help the backend of your defense, and can make you that much better.
