Just quit playing on Sunday nights

I think we're now 1-4 on Sunday Night Football on NBC all-time. One win was a meaningless game with Matt Moore late in 2009. Other losses: Tony Romo's first start, overtime vs. Giants late in 2008 when Brandon Jacobs destroyed our defensive line and #1 in the conference was on the line, Saints last year, and then tonight. Someone let me know if I'm missing any.

The infamous Falcons game where Vick and his magic knee magically levitated into the end zone. Up until a few years ago I'm pretty sure every team got at least one SNF game a season when the game was shown on ESPN, so there are probably a lot more... I remember them losing to Flutie and the Bills back in the 90s.

Yeah I was only going off NBC because that's been more recent and Wikipedia was sort of useful. But yeah, I remember all the Atlanta Sunday night losses too.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
