MNF: 49ers at St. Louis (Rams: 1999 throwback uniforms)

Saint Louis is hosting only their fourth prime-time game since 2008. And two of those were Thursday nighters on NFL Network.

Rams have played Jim Harbaugh's 49er team close more often than not:

Rams at home vs Jim Harbaugh's 49ers

2011 - L 27-34

2012 - W 16-13 (OT)

2013 - L 11-35

Rams away vs Jim Harbaugh's 49ers

2011 - L 0-26

2012 - T 24-24

2013 - L 13-23

Rams will be wearing 1999 throwback uniforms in honor of the 15th Anniversary of the Super Bowl-winning Greatest Show on Turf, who is being honored at halftime

Helmets and jerseys aren't only throwback changes for the night...The Edward Jones Dome tonight has a throwback look to it, commemorating the 1999 Super Bowl Championship team.

And for MNF, the Rams "are rolling back hot dog and beer specials to the year 1999."

under blitz-happy defensive coordinator Gregg Williams (the DC of the Saints when they won the Super Bowl), the Rams have been sending extra rushers more than anyone else in football this season. Kaepernick has a 107.7 rating against the blitz this season, 83.9 against no blitz

Rams linebackers James Laurinaitis and Alec Ogletree will have their hands full. This season, Kaepernick has more rushing yards (205) than running backs Jamaal Charles , Chris Johnson , Shonn Greene , Montee Ball , Reggie Bush , Darren McFadden , Toby Gerhart , Donald Brown and Doug Martin .

Since the start of 2013, Kaep has run the ball -- either by design or on scrambles -- 135 times, which is more than any other quarterback in football.

However, Kaepernick has been criticized heavily for his habits in the pocket. Only Geno Smith has held onto the ball longer than Kaepernick this season. That might explain why Kaepernick has been sacked 3rd-most frequently per dropback (8%) of every qualifying quarterback in the league

    • Oh please with the wallowing in victimhood I'm going to take my ball and go home routine. You were just in here referring to people as super weird haters because they don't completely agree with your borderline delusional spin on what Bryce Young is and isn't as a fourth year starter. We can hope by some miracle that Bryce Young will actually be able to lead a formidable passing offense this season without being irrational homers and pretending verfiable data and what we have seen with our own two eyes doesn't tell us exactly what he has been to this point which is someone who moves the ball at a historically low rate.
    • I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
    • I say positive things about Bryce when he earns them. Which he has a handful of times. It is all here and on the record but your lobby won’t focus on that or the flat out truth inside of our critical comments.  It is a constant thing with him and his backers - one or two good things and people are trying to extrapolate that to proof we should commit to him, while ignoring or making excuses for the larger portion of his track record.  When he is able to consistently turn in franchise QB extension worthy outings the tone of the posts will reflect that.  I have already said that if he would play like he did in the WC as often as we need him to, I would be okay with keeping him.  See you don’t want to talk about that though because it shows actual fair minded evaluation not stanning.
