Just in case - Who To Root For, Week 10

In all likelihood, our only chance at the Playoffs is by winning the Division. As ridiculous as it seems, we're only a half game behind the Saints, and if the Saints lose tomorrow we'll be TIED for first place going into Monday Night. It is, therefore possible that we will be in first place midnight, Tuesday morning with a 4-5-1 record. However, it is theoretically possible that several teams go on losing streaks, and we slip into the playoffs as a wildcard. In order for that to happen..

Cowboys

Jaguars

49ers

Saints

Falcons

Bucs

Giants

Seahawks

Bears

Packers

Titans

Ravens

Dolphins

Lions

Rams

Cards

Panthers

Eagles

Essentially, you want Division leaders to win in order to establish themselves atop their respective division. Everybody currently in a wildcard spot (Seahawks, Packers etc) you want to lose, in order for us to gain ground, with the exception of the 49ers for obvious reasons.

You're Welcome.

At the looks of our current plight, I would say that wild card weekend would be a highly successful season with what we have. Of course if we can get hot, my expectations will go up. I'll be rooting for all the teams that you just mentioned, but at the looks of it now, I'd say that this would be a good year to get Cam and Co a playoff win.

The journey continues Monday night

    • Care to elaborate why you disagree? We kicked the ball off 3 times and we kept the Browns to starting field position of the 22, 27, and 10 (would have been 21 before a penalty). All 3 of those are successes with the modern kickoff rule.
    • Its August so obviously quality options are not there. The question is whether any improvement can be made to the bottom of the depth chart.
    • NFL has a huge amount of parity.  The talent level between most NFL starters outside of the top 5 to 10 guys at a position is very comparable.  2020 worst teams Jacksonville Jaguars - 1-15 (worst record in NFL) New York Jets - 2-14 Cincinnati Bengals - 4-11-1 Atlanta Falcons - 4-12 Houston Texans - 4-12 Carolina Panthers - 5-11 Detroit Lions - 5-11 Philadelphia Eagles - 4-11-1 Los Angeles Chargers - 7-9 Denver Broncos - 5-11 2024 Worst teams New York Giants - 3-14 (tied for worst) Cleveland Browns - 3-14 (tied for worst) Tennessee Titans - 3-14 (tied for worst) New England Patriots - 4-13 Carolina Panthers - 5-12 Jacksonville Jaguars - 4-13 Las Vegas Raiders - 4-13 New York Jets - 5-12 Chicago Bears - 5-12 Arizona Cardinals - 8-9 Bengals, Texans, Lions, Eagles, Broncos and the Jags have all made the the playoffs in the last 3 years. What I'm saying is it's stupid to argue when team is the worst when there is so much parity and the system allows quick turnarounds.
