Shingles

Well I still have it, Pains been so bad it caused other issues and I became dehydrated, to the point Cam and I were being looked at in an ER around the same time and spent a night in the hospital under observation. Today my doctor prescribed another round of anti viral and Lyrica for the pain. I'm officially old I'm getting a drug they have those awful ads on TV for.

Get the vaccine.

Wow the Lyrica worked great. Slept for 13 hours. Feeling much better. My wife has convinced me that going to the game tomorrow would be a bad idea and unfortunately I have to agree with her. Our first regular season game together in 2008, for other reasons, I ended up being wheeled out of the stadium in a wheelchair because I thought I would be fine even though I was sick, so I can't really argue with her anymore.

The problem with shingles is that, unless you've had them before, you don't realize what it is when the tingling/burning/sensitivity starts, and by the time the rash pops up and you do realize it's too late for medications (antivirals) to be effective.

 

I must have had Shingles in the mid-90's then.  The doctor said it was VD.  What a liar.
