Great, great read to get a jump on draft

mentioned the other day, that WRs this year will come close to last season. OT will also be strong and believe it is far and away stronger than last years draft. loads of talent at both positions will be available.

I worry that OT is becoming like the QB position in that it is being overvalued.

Many of the OT's from the last couple of seasons are not performing all that "first roundish".

most def. but i think this years group may be an exception. i actually think that the 4th-7th ranked guys will be the cream of this class.

Great read ... thanks for sharing.  Helped take the edge off my appetite for new draft info.  lol

The more I think about the draft and available OL, if Peat stays another year, I almost prefer that we trade back.  Would love to have Cleveland's two first round picks.  Could get Collins / Stanley / Flowers and a top WR / CB.  Or .... we could spend it on 2 of those OL and shore-up those positions for the next 10 years.

    • BPA in draft all the way. Address your biggest needs in free agency.
    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
