  1. Rivera not optimistic about DeAngelo Williams for this week. "He's still uncomfortable" when it comes to pass blocking with hand.

"A.J. did a little bit more today," Rivera says of LB. Seems like his status really up in the air.

Rivera says he and Dave Gettleman will discuss Frank Alexander. Feels like if they have to play him, he could give them 30 snaps.

Coaches feel that Frank Alexander would be ready to play if called upon. Panthers must decide whether to activate him before or after game.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
