The Boston Globe reports part of the problem in Charlotte, in addition to their inability to hit shots, prevent the other team from making shots or win games, is the attitude of free agent pick up Lance Stephenson. Stephenson reportedly is, you guessed it, "clashing with teammates."

According to league sources, Stephenson has clashed with teammates, and coach Steve Clifford has placed the onus of Stephenson's adjustment on the team's veteran players, hoping they could police themselves and convince Stephenson to become more of a team player. Stephenson may become a more attractive piece near the Feb. 19 trade deadline, but the Hornets would want value in return.

Well, well, well...

I said it at the start of the trade rumors and posted it in one of the threads that there are some rumors that Stephenson and Kemba aren't getting along very well.

With the way the other players and staff/FO view Kemba, that's kind of a death kneel for Stephenson here in Charlotte unless he starts to play nice and make up.

I remember when people were saying Larry Bird was out of touch and didn't understand players for losing Stephenson...

Not many people want to play here and the upper staff took a chance. I want fault them but it's clear this is a failure and will never work. The bad thing is every other franchise knows this so they're going to wait and wait until we get frustrated and take anything.

Sad reboot for the Hornets.

What's sad is even without the antics Lances style of play doesn't fit what we need at all from the SG position. Basketball writers that gushed about the Hayward signing were less than enthused about the addition of Lance, and we saw what a train wreck the offense was.

Hopefully MJ and the front office learned their lesson and don't get desperate to win the offseason again.

    • I'm salty every time I see someones mid picks become stars while we throw first and second rounders over and over and they all stink outside of Tet (who still has a lot to prove, imo)
    • There is a contingent that is total Bryce but they weathervane with the wind. When the good Bryce wind blows about once or twice a month we hear a lot from them. But they are always pro Bryce, they just don’t pipe up too much when he sucks. I can’t speak for them, as far as what they are looking at.    In a second contingent, the collective mind is made up. He has had had basically three years worth of starts that might include a top tier outing or two, a few second tier outings, offset by about the same number of bottom tier outings which actually may have the edge there.  The rest of his stuff is third tier and that is going to be the bulk of his starts. We want to move on. And we aren’t getting off of that hill until he puts us off of it. He has not.    There is a third contingent that has no conviction and definitely weather vanes. Bryce is good. Bryce isn’t good. Depending on the latest game. They will buy into 7 on 7 success so that should tell you something.
    • Nacua is really fuging good. He might be a better version of Cooper Kupp.
