Essay DeAngelo Wrote on the Plane

I'm not sure if I like him better, but that was an excellent article and I tend to agree with him.

As a person, Deangelo seems like a very likable guy, so I don't understand why you wouldn't like him better as a result of this thoughtful opinion piece.  In my opinion, Williams has almost always taken he high road throughout his career.  He has shown great class and more restraint than most when dealing with people who lose their minds and sensibilities when it comes to professional football---and really the Internet in general.  I already respected and liked the guy, and after this essay I do like him even better.

I bid him good luck in all of his future endeavors.

I do enjoy a good counter argument. Everyone will have different opinions. I'm just on the side that the players worked hard to get there too, and the owners already have other sources of income.

And by the way, when it comes to this conversation in politics, I'm far right. It's just the NFL that I feel this way about.

fair enough. i cant say that i disagree with you. i just dont think the owners should be forced to give more of their money to the players. my idea would be to raise the salary cap further. that way more money is freed up for the players, the owners arent forced to part with more of their money if they dont want to, and competition would be preserved (unlike the result of removing the salary cap altogether)
