Gano

It is my impression that on the second attempt by Kam to jump the line that Gano whiffed that kick on purpose and took the hit from him. He easily could have kicked it as usual and had it blocked but instead he stepped into the kick to make sure it didn't touch Kam and took the fall.

That is a brilliant flop if I've ever seen one. Someone tweet JJ Jansen and find out if this is a fair assumption. Everyone was wondering how we could let him do this twice and I think that is why.

Gano missed the FG because......

A. He has been missing FG's all season.

Or

B. A safety is nearly on his d**k as he's approaching the ball.

I can't see that ever being designed or on purpose.

It was a nice flop and I'm glad we got the penalty but how did we not make an adjustment after the first block attempt?

That WAS the adjustment. While it seems improbable, he could've have known it was possibly going to happen again and had decided if it did happen that he needed to shank it. I just don't see how he possible could've missed the ball had Gano actually attempted to truly kick the ball. Therefor, I think it was trickeration.

Richard Rodgers - the same coach that didn't make adjustments when we had the first punt blocked in Minnesota. The same coach that other teams admitted they saw weaknesses on film that he failed to correct. The same coach that didn't realize the wedge is not allowed in the NFL.

It is time to hire a REAL Special Teams Coach. Not just a "special" coach.
