Should we draft a Quarterback this Year ?

For some odd reason I thought Joe Webb was chose for that roll.  I may have dreamed it.

 

 

Webb actually stuck around a lot longer than I thought he would.

 

Being able to play two positions likely helped.

You could say that we not only have the best backup but we have a pretty good 3rd/emergency, if not for any reason other than he's mobile, which should he ever be called to play makes the opposing team game plan for that ability.

There are other needs that we'd be better served addressing over backup QB.

Want to see this message board go up in flames? Have DG draft a QB over a need and any of the players he passes on have any kind of impact for their team. This place will be a mess.

I read Cordale Jones may go pro after winning last night. He is 6'5 250 lbs and is similar to Cam so I would think he could fit in well for us. He is projected to be a 3rd round pick but after last night he could end up being the 3rd QB off the board. A lot can happend between now and the draft but I wouldn't mind us drafting him in the 3rd or 4th round if available.

I think highly of Anderson and I believe he could have a great season as our QB if given the opportunity but he isn't getting any younger. So why not try to find a future backup QB that actually has potential.

This is not the type of thing you do when you are already a contending team with a good cap situation so you can afford to use a late round pick like this.  We are still at least two years from being in such a situation.
