Game 26: Bulls vs. Bobcats

Seems like an eternity since the Bobcats got a win. The pressure is gonna continue to build on LB to win some games. I liked what I saw last night from Diaw, he gives us versatility and a nice presence in the front court. He also takes a big load of Okafor to score and rebound. The Bulls arent a great ballclub so hopefully we can take this one at home. GO BOBCATS!!!

down 3 at the half....Howard started, and has 6 points and 4 boards at the half....Diaw is playing well, while Bell struggles to get on track......Felton and Augustin both having good games, as are Hollins and Emeka

Wallace isnt playing....no idea why, injured im sure, but maybe there i a trade in the works and they dont want to risk an injury...anyone have the scoop?

Gerald's grandmother passed last week and his father passed a few days later. He's attending his father's funeral right now. Im sure everyone here at the Huddle's prayers are with G-Force and his family.

Looks like it was a good game...

yeah, i wish i had seen the whole thing, but the end was awesome, DJ hit some very ckuth free throws down the stretch

he was fouled taking a three and made them all to tie the game

we really look better, and thats with Bell only getting 8 minutes before he was ejected, and Howard hardly playing in the second half

i honestly dont think we should trade Diaw, he looks like a huge upgrade at the 4

The biggest problem I've seen his how Larry is doing his lineups/subs. Wallace being taken out of the game at the end is dumb, but it could be he was tired. Putting guys like DJ to guard SF/PF's is just stupid too. I'm liking Diaw too. I honestly think DJ needs to start and play a ton, he's our closest thing to a scorer right now, Bell can come off the bench.

Once Gforce gets back and our guys play together some more, I think we'll start winning some more games. Diaw is playing great, I think he's showing people they were wrong about him, he's a fast big guy and passes very well.

Boris Diow has been better than advertised, and Raja Bell has been worse. I think Raja knows the clock is ticking on his career and wants to play on a contender. He hasn't had nearly the impact on this club in the defensive end that I thought he'd have considering he was a big piece in the trade that sent a proven 20 point guy to the Suns. If Jared Dudley pans out, we got curb stomped in this deal. The club needs to be patient and draft a big this offseason that can have an impact beside Okafor instead of trying to pay the price via trade for one. Diow is a good enough starter for this team right now, but I doubt he'll be on this team when this team is trying to make the playoffs unless he's a reserve.

Alexis Ajinca was a shot in the dark that missed, IMO. Can't fault them for trying it but the kid is just stick and bones and doesn't seem to have the mean streak to make it work in the more aggressive NBA game.

Alexis game into the Detroit game and had great defense, and he hasn't had much opportunity to do anything, so to say he was a miss, well, you can't, cause we haven't seen enough of him. Everyone knew he was a project and he needs some weight, but he can shoot very well and has nice length, so it'll take a bit of time to get him ready. A lot of people thought he wouldn't even be here this year that he'd be in Europe, so....

    • These are the three deep throw attempts that Will Levis made in week 12. His first one is a beauty; Levis and Westbrook-Ikhine gets the safety to bite on a deep dig only to go over the top for the score. His second throw is another beauty: a crosser to Calvin Ridley reminiscent of Bryce to XL (though Ridley has noticeably more separation on his route). His third and final deep shot was an incompletion from his own endzone on 3rd & 14 with pressure coming down on him (to me, this seems like a solid throw).   Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-02.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Levis took half of the deep shots that Young did. The differences are: Ridley had much better separation than XL, which is why his deep crosser turned into a 63yd play since he was able to scamper for another 15+ after the catch. Westbrook-Ikhine holds on to his TD pass. Bryce had to throw one away to preserve time for a field goal. Bryce had two more throws that were incomplete due to the WR Are we really holding the three WR errors and clock management decision against Bryce in order to say that Will was better throwing deep in week 12? That's not passing the eye test nor is it confirmed by the data.
    • If you go on the PUP list before the season starts, you are gone for the year. If you start the year on the PUP list then you can get off of it. Kind of semantics, but we are putting him on the PUP list now which is before week 1, that’s why people who come off of it aren’t really on the PUP list until week 1, hence you usually hear right before the season that they are “starting the year” on the PUP list. I think PUP list and IR may basically be the serve the same purpose now because you also sometimes hear that if a player is added to the IR before week 1 that they aren’t eligible to come off the IR list for the entire year. Now, everyone added to IR (post week 1) can come off after 4 (or more) games so the PUP list is meaningless since it’s 6 games and starts at week 1. Anyone added to PUP or IR in the preseason is gone for the year.
    • I saw Brooks maybe a few weeks ago, he was walking pretty normally. of course he wasnt running, jumping and cutting.
